On Meteor Garden Nov 29, 2022
Now I may have rated this high back when I watched it but that didn’t mean I could ever forgive pineapple head for throwing that plate of food in ShanCai’s face. (Was it a plate of food I can’t even remember). My mom passed by when I was watching and said “oh typical bad boy being mean to his crush”. Even she knew it was toxic lol. Anyways I grew to love this title but it’s not realistic. It’s also pretty dragged out but the raw emotion both leads display have me goosebumps. Come on, the part where DaoMingSi was breaking down on the couch 🥲. Anyways the music was really good. But I’ll only watch one adaptation of this show and I chose the Taiwanese version due to the modern flair. I won’t ever however sit through another one of these kind of synopsis again as it’s torture to even make it through to the part where they finally start to love. But if you can make it through, it’ll make your heart smile. I love the outro
On Boys over Flowers Nov 29, 2022
I hope I don’t get dragged but I had to drop this. I’m a sucker for my throwback titles as that’s when I discovered Korean shows but because I watched the Taiwanese adaptation first, Meteor Garden I pretty much got the gist of the story and couldn’t sit through ita second time. Especially because the storyline at a baseline is something I can’t grow fond of. I watched a good chunk though and noticed that there’s less abuse towards jandi in the beginning than her Taiwanese counterpart however. Lee Minho really is the most handsome and mature out of all the adaptions too. I guess in a way that also makes it obvious he’s not a teenager. even though this was largely popular back in the day I am much happier I held out until Meteror garden came out as the modern flair and music made it much better
On Flower Boy Next Door Nov 29, 2022
Now I watched this because I love JiHoon. And while he’s amazing in his dark roles, he was just as impressive in this romantic role. It’s not one of my classic favorites but for some swoonworthy reason, it’s charming enough to be a show that I commend well.
On Prison Playbook Nov 29, 2022
The show isn’t meant to be a comedy but some parts had me laughing so hard. Mostly sad. Other half thought provoking. Loved seeing Krystal in this, my fav Lee Kyuhyung and Park HoSan are always a gem to watch as well. It’s much easier to watch on YouTube rather than Netflix as you can navigate episodes faster. Haven’t finished as I get distracted fast with this title but I know I’ll finish it one day. I don’t even remember how I found it, I think my fingers just clicked on it for no reason. It’s like fate. One of those shows you should just watch at least once and you’ll have lasting memories.

It had me at the first episode, then it just became tedious to finish by episode 4. Jin is pretty much playing…
The wig was the star of the show

The love story is very weird like she fell in love with who she thinks is her brother like wtf...i didn't like…
It was hard to continue explaining to my family I had to keep saying “that’s not her real brother “ 😭
On That Winter, the Wind Blows Nov 29, 2022
I have funny memories of my little sister saying “why every time they show him he’s crying” (referring to oh soo LOL) I must say, I loved the raw emotions of the character. They just don’t make characters like that anymore 😭. Ending could have gave us more of the two together but that’s okay. Even if unrealistic, it was a lovely story. The relationship between stepmom and oh Young was a dynamic one. The hidden appreciation and love they had for one another gave me the waterworks. some fun facts no one cares about: The first time I watched this I didnt realize that was Eun Ji from APink. Bad fan >< Yesung’s Gray Paper matched the emotion of the drama so perfectly I originally watched due to the sensational ballad he once performed
On My Love from the Star Nov 29, 2022
I haven’t finished since 2015 ish. Kim soo hyun was my favorite actor back then, I remember enjoying it, the music, the theme and the unorthodox attachment of the two main leads. But drama fever ended so I haven’t watched since LOL. It’s back on Netflix but I still can’t get back into it. Guess my passion and interest has past.. but I’ll always have good memories of this dreamy drama and I rather remember it in a good light and leave it as that
On Touch Your Heart Nov 29, 2022
I saw Lee Dongwook, and I saw InNa who I’ve known from Secret Garden (2010) and i ran to watch. I found myself laughing at so many parts but I still couldn’t keep interest to keep watching due to some cliche cringey moments. Now the things I liked was how FL grew to understand JR’s true nature and that dynamic was pretty soft. Some of the side cases were very interesting as well. But just a tip for the editor, the saturation was way too high . Anyways, I know I want to see the ending for these two so hopefully one day I’ll finish it
On Douse Mou Nigerarenai Nov 29, 2022
I superficially only watched for Jin Shirashu. It has a nice calming pace to the show (some would describe that as boring.) but it wasn’t interesting enough, too much push and pull, stunted man and dense female lead. Technically a drop but the entertaining comments on Viki was the only reason I made it to the end. I think the filter of the show is beautiful, it has a movie feel to it and may have been better as one rather than episodes

I read your comment and decided to see what you were talking about. Oh boy, I wanted to punch my TV so hard, to…
You might be right. In retrospect she did take in this unknown little girl and put her into her daughters clothes. The father tried to convince her to do the right thing she never listened. I’ll have to agree with you, she did the bare minimum to protect her poor daughter

it is so hard to find good Japanese dramas when most of them are just like this
Don’t watch romance genre and you’ll be fine
On Good Morning Call Nov 29, 2022
Corny romances… I’ll pass. But something made me finish it throughout, maybe it was Daichi. Even if I disliked the personality of the main lead at times I decided to just hurry and finish it. Only because I wouldn’t have known there was a season 2 if I haven’t. I’ll say the only thing I liked about S1 was how they didn’t let outside expectations pressure them. They were pure. Annoying but pure. Nao reminds me of Kotoko from Mischevious kiss. I cannot stand the dumb girl trope who chases after an emotionally unavailable person. There’s a feeling of relief and dread when I finished it. Like why did I waste my time 😭 oh and the parents are dumb. They really let these two bimbos continue living together
I’m happy they bought daichi back, he’s a strong character who is self aware-contrary to the two leads. he’s the only reason i decided to watch s2. The additional characters were needed like Natuse. he‘s sensitive intelligent and romantically savvy. i admired all his quotes. i actually enjoyed the campus theme. like other viewers i don’t like this couple together but in an odd way they’re both oblivious and alike in that sense. Nao is good hearted but like Uehara, a bit insufferable. their relationship dynamic would be nothing more but a failure in real life. A character like Uhehara would also realistically like a girl like Saeko, and grow tired of an insecure girlfriend. i was rooting for Nao towards the end, it seemed like she was growing self confidence and wanted to stand up for herself but she let me down. Anyway the show has some funny moments but I could be laughing out of pain. there’s no way this was made for adult demographic.
On Life: Love on the Line Nov 29, 2022
I just love the OST. I still listen diligently. I still follow Jin Shirasu who is very great actor in everything he’s in, absolutely handsome too. I felt sooo bad for Yukki. That poor baby. I wanted him to fight Akira more after his return but it was okay because it was a nice makeup scene. Very important messages throughout like be yourself and don’t follow the status quo and to date who you want (specifically highlighting the sister who fell for an Indian guy. He was hilarious). I loved this show back when it came out and still do. The theme stood out the most, following the straight line to reach your destiny.

Oh ha ni. Tsk tsk. You are still my least favorite character 😭 even Kotoko from Mischevious Kiss (Japanese original) was not as insufferable and -dumb- seung Jo was a jerk but at least they had a happy ending I still rated it fairly only because I’m a sucker for dramas back in that era when I watched it
On Drowning Love Nov 29, 2022
I cannot judge the characters much as they were young. I can sum up the movie being painfully romantic. Even with the mild toxicity, it’s still one of my favorite Japanese teen flicks. The main male lead is aloof but charismatic but smart enough to know when to let go for Natsume’s sake. I loved any bit of Daiki Shigeoka’s parts as he’s a hopeless romantic in everything he plays in, love him. I’d love to see this one again I have been been searching online for years

I watched this back on Netflix as it premiered it was a very interesting title. I enjoyed the music from Ken Arai too. I particularly enjoyed Daiki’s character it made me fall for him. Very kind and loving to Ayumi despite the body she was in
