Have you watched anything else with Jerry Yan in it that's worth recommending? :)

I'm definitely going to watch something else with him in it! He was really good in Meteor Garden. It's not his fault that the script included those scenes. But, like you, I feel conflicted about how much I liked his character in MG in spite of those scenes.

I'm with you 100%. The scenes them selves are chocking. How nobody bats an eye at this, and seems to have a bigger problem with Si's hair - rather than his actions is disturbing in itself.

I'm actually struggling with what rating I should give it. Yes, Si is endearingly devoted and who doesn't want that? But the slap and kissing her against her will? Creepy-town!

I agree! The other versions have the same make-over kidnapping (which really bothers me since it's done on the orders of someone who's suposed to be a good guy)... but the unwelcomed advances and slap really put me off.
