I agree with you 100%. Actually, personally, the reason why I dropped this series was because I started to feel sorry for the Marquis, especially when he started to trust the ML. I couldn't bare the thought of him being betrayed so I stopped watching. I'm thinking of going back to finish it though.
I saw comments saying she's his sister. As for the romance, there really isn't any. Those who've previewed the series said so. You can scroll down the comments and you'll find the ones saying she's his sister. And with Chinese dramas, it doesn't necessarily have to be a blood related sister. Another thing, I do know it's an original script, but apparently it was leaked a while back and some people got a glimpse of it🤷♀️. Not sure how true that is though.
I watched the trailers and gosh this looks like it's gonna be fire🔥! I also read some of the repos from the preview screening, and they are all saying Cheng Yi delivers and his acting is right on par with the outstanding veteran cast💪. Tomorrow couldn't come soon enough😩.
To romance lovers, this is not a romance drama. I doubt there's even a hint of it. So everyone choosing to watch the drama should keep that in mind and not be disappointed when preconceived expectations are not met. It's a fast-paced revenge thriller that's more brain than brawn.
