I feel it's a pity for them because we all know they can act but the writing isn't helping and the chemistry is barely there :(

IMO most GMMTV actors are amateurish. Forcing them with the same partner over and over again is not doing them any favor. I suggested to pair him with Dunk to challenge their skills, not because I think Dunk is a great actor. Pond would have to learn how to interact with someone from a different background and skillset while Dunk could learn from a more experienced actor.

I get it’s entertaining to mock me but what I meant by that is that GMMTV is ackin to a content farm, as in they do not value their customers, nor their actors, writers or directors.

The goal here is to be as productive as possible, at the expense of quality. Most GMMTV shows are mediocre, with the occasional success of a mostly well written, directed and acted drama like Not Me, Bad Buddy or Only Friends.

I think it’s fair to criticize a company for the half assed content they produce, and their reluctance to take risks (read: change ships) because they value quantity over quality, don’t you think..?

This might sound dumb but i see Pond better paired with a woman.
If we stay in BL, acting wise maybe Mark Pakin? Though they look pretty similar so on screen they might be an odd fit. I also think Pond would fit well with Joong.
Other than that, we can see that Dunk has been improving recently in The Heart Killers, so pairing them could give a challenge to both, but we would need a solid plot and directing which is asking a lot for GMMTV...

Pond has said before that he likes darker concepts while Phuwin is definitely better at comedy, so I do think it would be best for both to part ways and shine in new projects separately regardless of shippers' sentiments.

I really don't get it why is it so hard to give us quality.......

Why didn't they give Pond's role to Fluke he is so much more natural and would actually have chemistry with Poon ㅠㅠ

I have to agree that Pond is more natural than Phuwin. I wish they would give him a different partner to improve his range, but once again this ship fandom thing gets in the way smh

I’m mostly fed up by GMMTV’s consistent lack of quality, they’re a money making company that only sees profit in BL and has no interest in creating meaningful, well made and thoughtful work.

And continuously giving these two actors leading roles with no acting improvement in sight is just proof of their lack of care. They either both have connections who insist on keeping them there or have a really dedicated fandom who will eat up and pay for whatever they produce (hence my comment), because there is no way these two are there for their talent. I get it for their first or second project, since GMMTV does try to find as many new and inexperienced faces to create stars, but atp their level of acting is unacceptable in a serious environment (and I’m not targeting only them, lots of long-time GMMTV actors have this problem).

Is PondPhuwin fanbase's that big that they receive all these main characters roles together even though they can't act?

they seem very natural together when bickering or playing, but intimacy still looks forced imo

i really believe most of these shows with bad acting are really the director's fault, because at this point even if the actors are shy/uncomfortable with each other good direction would push them to act more natural... but the whole gmmtv production is still pretty amateurish even with recent improvements, it is what it is

there's a difference between dedication and delusion, following their timelines he was learning it for a week or two at most, then is suddenly able to sign and understand pretty complex sentences without any mishaps or asking for words, which however you see it is not realistic
