What a snoozefest… I didn’t enjoy this one. I couldn’t get into the romance part because there was very little chemistry between the ML and FL. On top of that, this is the first (and I guess the last) drama of the main actress that I’m going to watch. 4/10
Just an average drama. I was much more invested in the storyline of the Eldest Princess and Hanmei than in the main couple, so I enjoyed the last couple of episodes more. I’m not buying Victoria Song in a historical setting, and tbh she’s not a strong actress.... 5/10.
Season 29 was the first one that I've watched, and I must say I enjoyed it. I think they did a much better job with casting younger guys than in Noona is a woman to me, in terms of creating smaller age gaps with the women. Still, I liked most of the girls and maybe two guys, but I hope all of them will find happiness in the near future.
I loved the concept of this show! I'm glad that the two pairs that I cared the most about made it till the end. I hope that all participants find their person in the future. I'll certainly watch the 2nd season, but I hope that they'll cast more confident and open-minded guys.
From the beginning I wasn't a fan of YE because she didn't seem genuine, and her aegyo was driving me crazy (I can't stand it in general). But I must admit that I feel for her.... She's the only woman on this show who didn't receive a single QR message her entire stay in the house, and then out of 10 chances for a day/night date, she was the only one whom no one picked. The one guy who showed a slight interest isn't making it clear that he's not into her.... I mean..... It would be difficult for anyone in such a situation. This is a dating show and she's the only woman there who is completely without attention from the guys. She is pretty, but I think her charms and cute behavior aren’t appealing to guys looking to date someone older seriously. If they want cute girls, they can surely find them among younger women or those around their own age. I remember in her introduction she said she feels lonely, and it really shows. I hope she eventually finds someone who can cherish her, but I believe she should look for someone around her age or older.
In my opinion SH is not ready to date anyone. He doesn't know what characteristics he likes in others and he doesn't see his shortcomings. He's confusing because on one hand I think he's a narcissist that is only focusing on his comfort but on the other hand he seems very insecure. I'm not sure which side of him is the real one. I couldn't stand his whining to both SY and BH. He's only into BH because he knows that she won't choose him and thanks to that he can save his face at the end of the show. Is SY really famous and that's why she's getting so much screen time? Or maybe the production team thinks that SH is someone that the audience is rooting for? They were getting way too much screen time this episode. I wanted to see more of YK and HJ and also BH and MJ. Too bad SY is not into JY. He's young but he's a mature guy that seems to be very comfortable to be around. SW is not into anyone in the house and that's why he can't make up his mind. I think the only possible couple is BH and MJ - they'll give it a try outside the show.
Immediately the age gap was released, I went to watch the preview of the show just to see spoilers. So, we haven't…
The staircase scene is in the next episode because they’re wearing the same clothes as in episode 10 preview when they're talking outside. I just hope it’s not right before the scene where Bonhee is sighing in frustration as she goes back to her room (we could see this in the preview) and Mujin goes after her with the caption "This is driving me crazy” (also in the preview). I don’t want to see Bonhee’s breakdown, because she already looked sad after the age reveal. I can imagine how difficult it must be for a woman to accept being the oldest one in the house, even when she’s so accomplished and self-confident. I can’t wait for the next episode to see what happens 🙂
Maybe they were told there would be a big age gap but they are acting surprised;who knows what is going on behind…
I personally think a 10–12 year age gap can work. It all depends on priorities, values, and character. If you click with someone, there is nothing you can do about it - you either have chemistry or you don’t. I think BH and MJ were into each other from the moment of their first meeting. Unfortunately, being into someone in a highly controlled environment is something totally different from real life. As far as I understand, age is not their only obstacle - they also live in different cities (or at least quite far from each other). Anyway I'm rooting for each participant to be satisfied after the show. Even if they end up single at least, I hope, they had a nice experience.
EP 9. The production team couldn't know who will be into whom when they were casting people to this show, but even then for Bonhee she has 9 year age gap with the oldest male participant. I hope that the production team asked them about what age they are comfortable with so they knew what to expect. I know that it's just a silly dating show and we shouldn't expect relationships outside the show but still there should be some kind of belief that it can happen for the audience to be engaged in viewing. Now it seems like a social experiment just to show that younger guys can be into older women and vice versa. TBH after the age reveal YK and HJ are quite promising so I hope they'll give each other the chance. BH and MJ are cooked, she won't be comfortable with a partner younger than her brother.
I knew that Yeeun must be around her age that's why her behaviour was weird to me. I also thought that Sanghyeon is younger because now his behaviour is even more baffling than before age reveal.
hmm to me he seem like a genuine guy who only goes towards one person all the way, i feel like if he was described…
I love looking for editing mistakes in the movies and dramas I watch so I tend to notice things like that. I’ve also watched every episode of this show twice (once with AI-generated subtitles and then with proper subtitles, which helps 😄). I also think that the scene conveyed exactly what the director intended (Mujin being attentive to Bonhee), so I don’t understand why they felt the need to edit it so heavily.
