When S1 came 6 yrs ago neither hyungsik nor jisoo were famous. The entire hype was around park Bo young. But hyungsik ended up being a good actor and had great comic timing. Here both the mls have a stiff face.

Yes. The emotional depth is very low in this drama. I thought the mother will be running towards nam soon when the ml said she is with him. That entire scene was so meh. Then when they meet also it didn't look that deep.

I don't get how calm both the ml and mother were when he said he found her daughter. He was more busy at staring at nam soo than tell her mother he found her and come and pick her up. That lady waiting 20 yrs to see her daughter and he was so chill as if the daughter went missing just two days ago and he found her. The emotional depth was so less. She was not at all in a hurry to see her long lost daughter.

The original was the first jtbc drama to get that much trp. Jtbc was a relatively new channel at that time and never got huge rating or popularity like TVN during that time. In 6 yrs it became one of the private channels with high trp.

I totally agree. It's not that this is not a follow up but how dumb it is. Even though S1 itself was like a comic book with a lot of silly jokes and ott scenes it still managed to be entertaining mainly because the casting was right and the leads had great comic timing and acting skills and chemistry. Here the leads are very bland and don't have much chemistry or comic timing.

Yes. The main attraction of S1 was it's hard for anyone to believe someone as tiny and petite and cute as park Bo young could beat up 20guys at the same time. Park Bo young is naturally cute she don't have to always smile to the fullest to show she is cute and innocent. Also the drama didn't take itself seriously apart from the serial killer part. Then min min as the ml was totally refreshing at that time. It was when kdramas just started showing green flags. It was refreshing to see a ml with no male ego and let's the fl take the front seat without any issue. Both hyung sik and Bo young also have great comic timing which is totally lacking with the new leads. Then the chemistry was a hit from the get go. Also I guess it had better casting overall with better acting. Here I just cannot get past over the makeup and over all messed up plastic look of the mother. She can barely move her face. Then all fl does is have a wide smile on her face to show she is innocent and naive with ends up being annoying after the first two episodes. The ml also is very bland and pretty dumb for a cop. He literally took a girl with no clue for a serious undercover operation 🙄

I though so as well. Isn't it a matter of internal security and the govt and the army will get involved. In S1 she hide it pretty well and all the people she beat up ended up being on her team so nobody was hell bend on exposing her either.

In first part,Her mom used to show off in the 80s when there was no social media to spread things and she used to not beat up people in a total unnatural manner. She only came off as strong as a man. But in this one all the three women have been showing it off for years and nobody came after them till now and the police also don't behave like something unbelievable is happening. In S1 none of the police belived she beat up all those thugs at the start.

Yes. He has and I knew he had when he used that drug on his ears and nothing happened to him whereas the inspector just put it in his mouth and washed it right away but still got affected.

I think it was said that never happened. In the last epi Bong soon's mother was praying that they have two boys so that it won't be hard on min min but they ended up having two daughters which never happened before.

I don't get how these three women are not the talk of the town and how the cops behave as if it's a common thing to see women with so much strength 😂. In S1 she was hiding her powers for the longest but here they are flaunting it all the time.

The only interesting thing I found is that the villain might also have superpowers and he looks creepy as hell.

A lot of things in this drama looked random. Like why would a highly trained undercover cop take Nam soo who hardly knows how things work in Korea and who gains attention wherever she goes as a partner? She don't even understand the seriousness of the situation and creates a scene wherever she goes. In S1 it was just a single serial killer but here there is an entire drug racket.

I guess they took creative liberty and changed a lot of things from S1. If I remember correctly it's said in S1 that one of bong soon's ancestors got the power by praying to the god and she helped her Kingdom with the power. All the women with powers will have twins, one girl and one boy. Only bong soon managed to have twin girls. Considering that the power will be only with a single lineage and there aren't supposed to be relatives with super power.

Is it just me or the makeup in kdramas nowadays look bad. The mother has such bad makeup. Also the villain guy.

Oh ya.. i haven't watched fated to love you but know the leads.
