It wasn't mediocre. It got a little draggy towards the end but overall its a good watch. It has a lot of reference of Korean mythologic creatures and stories so we international viewers won't understand the references. Also the drama has some creepy and dark scenes.

To get the relationship dynamo of the characters you will need to watch S1 since except the FL all the other major characters are here as well.

To start with this is a movie and not a kdrama. Korean movies and kdramas are vastly different. You are judging and writing her off on the basis of a drama she did for a movie that didn't even start shooting. How can you know if she is playing an age appropriate role or not or JCW will have any romantic storyline with her or not?
She has already done nude and bold scenes few times and nobody stereotyped her as an actress that only takes her clothes off. She is known as the queen of cannes in Korea and not the actress with a lot of nude scenes.
If you see eungyo as an artistic film and has no problem with its nude scenes why would you care if this movie will have one. This could also end up being a very artistically important movie in Korean industry. Why would you have a problem with JCW and JDY going nude for the movie?
Why are you jumping guns over a movie that didn't even start shooting?

It's said in the first part that Lee jiah is the only true incarnation. Lee yeon has met her lookalikes several times but none had the bead. Romance might be between other characters

Since it's said in the first season that Lee yeon can only love one woman and the FL from S1 was the true incarnation of his lover, it make sense why she is not there in this version. Lee yeon won't have any romantic line going on in this one. Also nam ji ah will be there as cameo appearance.
I doubt both the upcoming seasons will have any romance in it.

How can you be sure that she is not cast age appropriate for the role? They never revealed the age of the characters or story in detail or if there is even a love story?

Do you see kim taeri and kim go-eun as tits and ass actresses? They have done nude scenes in their first film and still gets cast in high profile movies and dramas with big directors and writers. Korean entertainment industry don't share your same mindset so she will be fine.

It's not even confirmed if they will have any romance or not and people are going bonger over age gap 🙄.
Korean movies rarely have romance if it's not a romantic movie and from the synopsis it don't look like it will have any romance at all. Korean movies are not Korean dramas where a love story is mandatory.
For all we know JCW will be the villain. 😂

I am not talking about the actor's successful career. She clearly is a very successful actress and well known among the Korean public but she is more known for her acting than her looks. She is well respected and acknowledged for her acting skills and movie choices than her looks.

That was a good drama which didn't make much buzz. The entire drama was filled with cutiepie male characters 😂

I have heard the same thing about people who binge watched run-on. I absolutely loved that drama and watched it while it was on Air. Run on and beloved summer kind of have the same vibe.

They showed the 2 yr skip after haeyi gave the exam. They showed GH failing the exam 1-2 times and still trying. So they already gave the exam and are college students after the 2 yr leap.

Wasn't the time skip 2 yrs after they gave csat? They showed haeyi running towards NHS after writing the exam and then they showed 2 yrs leap. GH already falled 1-2 tries and HY and SH were already in college.

One of the things i liked about the drama is they cast an actor that don't come under the conventionally pretty category and then made 2-3 characters say she is average so that we audience understand that the makers wanted the female lead to be average looking🙄. It's the same with wardrobes as well. No matter how broke the FL is she will be wearing branded clothes.

Some people don't care about dressing or simply don't have a dressing sense. Her character of never putting herself first reflects on her clothes as well. There are people who have the money and still dresses badly. By the last episode she had time for herself and had a boyfriend/fiance for whom she wanted to look good.
