In the BTS she falls into the pool and I guess the jumping part is editing issue. There is only one kiss in 15 episodes. So I don't get where is too many forced kisses. That kiss wasn't shown as non-problematic either. He clearly used his authority over her and they showed it that way only. All his problematic behaviours are shown as problematic itself. He himself is not very proud of any of those behaviours. If things that are wrong are shown to be wrong there is nothing wrong with it. The show is clearly trying to show the power disparity between them for the story and there is nothing wrong with it. He is an arrogant and selfish guy when it comes to doekim and they show it as it is. Why is it wrong? The Era and the background of the characters matter a lot in a story. A court lady belonged to the king whether she liked it or not. That was how it was back them. They cannot show otherwise and put today's values and show that court ladies can have the independent working woman lifestyle of today. For us it is unfair to the women in the palace and might be wrong but it is what it is and it was how it was back then.

Rumours get started in my country as well but that don't stop actors from coming together to award shows. If they have an upcoming movie or are working together they will come together to promote the project more.
I really like this show but there are a few flaws that I don't like so far.1. I totally get that if you like the…
1.i agree on the first point. i never get kdrama and their obsession with people never moving on from mere crush for decades... jiung wasnt even that close to yeonso for him to harbor such strong feelings for her for 10 long years... thats just too much exaggeration... i doubt he will ever act on it but why is there even a need for this angle... he is a successful good looking guy... why cannot he have a gf by now? 2. nj didnt get enough screentime for us to say if she has any relevance or not. she did give moral support to ung when he needed it and was a good friend to him... her character can be a really good friend to ung and ung needs more friends... the only thing i dont like about her is her blonde hair... it looks really bad... there are other colors they could have used... 3. i find him cute and he is ung's close friend and manager. both his roles kind of gives him the right to get involved in his personal and professional life...
Ok so this is so popular and at the beginning I liked Red Sleeve a lot too but it all just went downhill since…
It might be 2022 but the drama is set in the 18th century in a very patriarchal society with the king as the main lead who literally owns every single court lady in that palace. He grew up as a crown prince and then became a king. He grew up with a sense of superiority his whole life. So his arrogance and him thinking that he kind of owns her is very much real. This is based on a real king and that king waited for 15yrs for a court lady. The main reason why their love story is kind of famous is because even after having the power to force her to be his concubine he never did it and that too at that time period. But expecting him to be a complete down to earth gentleman with today's standard in mind will be unrealistic. He might have been arrogant short tempered with the patriarchal values. When a relationship b/w 2 people with such a huge power disparity happens there will be toxicity. The one with the power will try to use it to his/her advantage at times to get what they want. no matter how much they love each other there will never be equality b/w the two. Also not all dramas are made to give out social messages. It's romantic kdrama, obviously there will be fan service. Kdrama is famous for male leads flaunting their perfect 6 pack abs. There is nothing wrong with showing physical attraction b/w the leads even if it's for fan service. The drama shot that scene way at the earliest stages of shooting so it was always part of the scrip. they didn't add that scene out of the blue or anything.
is it just me orlee se young and nam ji hyun kind of look quite similar? i love both of their side profile...
Now that I think of yes a little bit like yoo jung as well... But the child version esp the pic abv kind of looks very similar to child version of nam Ji Hyun... They both have similar nose... All of these are my fav actresses...
I was obsessed with this show when it first started, but ever since episode 11 when he started becoming king it…
it was lighter and more like a rom-com at the beginning... things were simpler but now it has gotten more complex as their social position further widened... when the show started they were 18 and 19yr old now they are in their late 20s... obviously there will be a huge change in their behavior and political atmosphere after he became a king...
