About giving financial aid to seolah, in S1 he repeatedly said he will give her money but seolah said even if he is giving her the money, the money belongs to his parents who used her so she cannot accept that... When she got caught by the police i think at start he also thought she stole but seeing his parents reaction he understood she didn't do it... He talked to his parents to withdraw the case but his parents were not ready... They didn't wanted to give a share of their property to a random girl... Then she was send back to Korea and they only kept in touch through phone calls...
The rona is such a brat let's blame everything on her comments are getting both old and annoying. She had a decent…
Exactly... Even if she was a brat she only screamed at her own mother out of frustration and never went on hurting others or even thought of it... Jenny has been bullying her longer than the rest and she still stood up for Jenny only because Jenny showed some sympathy towards her when she was alone... She chose to remember that one act of goodness from Jenny over all the bad things Jenny did to her... In S2 she even regrets being a brat to her mother whereas none of the other kids( except Jenny and to a level seokhoon) regrets getting a girl almost killed...
How many millions of people were watching this drama, and how many thousands got it canceled? I have zero respect…
It's you who said ' I am sure there are Koreans who disagree with the ban and want to watch the drama' If there were they would have stated their opinion the same way the people who don't want to watch it are stating...
Why would rich people waste their time on banning a kdrama because some knetz were unhappy with it? This is not the only drama where knetz were not happy with some aspects of a show... The producers of JE, sponsors and the channel it airs also come under rich and influential people of that country...
You have to watch it yourself to decide whether you like it or not... Some episodes are creepier than most fantasy kdramas we are used to and it has a lot of korean mythology... It will be hard to understand if we don't Google it because the drama don't explain it much... It's like only Koreans will get some of the references... It drags a little on the second half but overall I liked it...
I feel like it's the calm before th storm... If dantae is out of the picture then everyone else is gonna fight with each other... They all had the same goal till now.. Seojin might go back to being the villain that she is and might again go after yoonhee... YH might have said she will surrender herself for what she did to seolah but seeing rona alive she might go back on her words... SSR and YH might again stand against each other... Also if any of the main character is gonna die in the season finale I think it will be a permanent death as the writer is not gonna use the same trick 3 times in a row...

Korea is a democratic country with a strong sns... If a vast majority wanted the drama to continue then they would voice it out like how the minorities are voicing their opinion... Everything is happening online... So anyone can state their opinion... Also companies like samsung or hyundai don't have to care about what a small fraction of minorities think about a drama they are sponsoring... If it wasn't that big of a deal they wouldn't have backed out from sponsoring the drama... Nobody is gonna boycott samsung or lg or hyundai as these people literally run the entire country and its next to impossible to not buy there products... the drama is produced by giants like lotto and YG... They are fully capable of sweeping the problem under the rug if they want to if the so called controversy was something they can handle or not big of a deal... It's not thay hard for huge conglomerates to downplay the complaints of a 'small vocal minority'... Those sponsors and producers has invested a lot of money in the project... 80% of the drama is already filmed and these producers already invested all their money into the product... They would have solved it if it was a small problem like many kdramas that faced some criticism from knetz but still managed to have a successful run... Even goblin and king eternal monarch faced criticism and these are also high budget dramas but neither they lost sponsors not this amount of petition was filed against the drama... If 185k+ people can file a petition online to ban the drama then 200k+ people can file a petition to continue the drama if a vast majority don't support the ban... nobody is gonna search for these people and question their choices... You dont have proof to back up your claim that a vast majority of Koreans want to see that drama and don't feel offended by the portrayal of their historical figures...
Trust me you'll find this user in LITC and KJW page. What a plain hater. The fact that the casting director cast…
It's a personal opinion to like or dislike someone's acting... So that's completely upto you but shk and jjh are too old to play this role... They are like fully grown matured women to play a character this immature and messed up... The character itself is not that well written so it's hard for any actor to do justice to it...
How many millions of people were watching this drama, and how many thousands got it canceled? I have zero respect…
You also talk as if your take on culture and tradition is the right one and that too Korean culture.. You clearly have zero idea about how things work in Asian countries and think your thoughts are the right one and is completely insensitive towards the culture and tradition of another country just because that country decided to ban a drama you like... typical western thinking imposing on Asians and thinking yours is superior... You cannot handle the fact that a drama got banned and is calling a society you only have knowledge through few dramas as insecure and intolerant when you yourself don't even try to understand where that country comes from and what is their history... ignorance at its peak... Non-jews can go and tell Jews to take a chill-pill if some movie justifies hitler killing Jews as it is just fiction... It's completely upto the Jews to feel offended or not or to see it as a fiction or not because they are the victims there...it's the same for korea... It's upto them to decide what they should feel offended on and what they want to watch on their public channel as tax payers... It's not upto you and if you have problem with korean broadcast system give importance to knetz and what they think, then it's your problem and not their...
Okay damn SSR really always was 10 steps ahead LMAO it finally makes sense as to why she only wore the wig and…
As an Indian, I have seen tons of dramas were a charater fake dies, comes back as someone else only to be revealed as the original character taking revenge... Also when any of the main actors decide to quite the serial, they will put an accident and plastic surgery storyline and then put a completely new actor in that role...

Abraham Lincoln was still shown as a hero in that movie and not as someone who slaughtered his own people or a crazy lunatic... Will Hollywood make a movie showing Russians in a good light or showing the atrocities US did in Vietnam or Afghanistan? A movie were the US government is the villain and get away with it... Which society is exactly civilized? Didn't some guy did a mass shooting just few days ago because he was having a bad day in America? As I said no country is perfect... Do you know anything about the korean royal family to say if they are of any use to korean society? It's the korean society that decides whether to give respect to their royal family or not and not you... a lot of dramas before JE has faced some backlash from a 'small vocal minority' and a lot of historical dramas have added fictional elements to it... Neither the royal family spoke up nor the sponsors of those shows backed out... If this particular drama faced this amount of backlash then there will be something that much problematic about it... Also korea and china is kind of having fictions and both countries won't take anything sightly inappropriate lightly... We international fans are not the ones whose tradition and culture are being claimed by china as its own... It's Korea's... They take huge pride in their culture... Any country with a culture and tradition holds their culture and tradition dearly...
Guys I just realized something. If they decided to continue the drama there’s one more group that could potentially…
They already saw a bit backlash for me.queen and had plenty of time to just make it fictional like kingdom or arthadal chronical... Just because mr queen got away they thought this will also get away as well... When a huge budget is involved it's safer to just go completely fictional... The writers, producers and the channel should have an idea about how the public would react to certain scenes as they are Koreans themselves and both the channel and the writer already received flakes in the past...
How many millions of people were watching this drama, and how many thousands got it canceled? I have zero respect…
Did I even said you defended US.. I simply said no country is perfect and put US as an example... Korea gives a shit about what the royal family thinks and they don't give a shit what you think... Just because a country is democracy, doesn't mean they don't respect their royal families or don't care what they think... If you have problem with s.korea and the way they make dramas or how their society works you also have the choice to not watch it... It's their history and their drama and it's upto them whether to feel offended or not... They have the right to file complaints to the blue house... It's not like Koreans don't allow any sort of creative liberty at all... There are more than enough shows that had successful run even though a certain set of people got offended... You are getting angry as if Koreans shut down every single drama with historical figures in it and don't allow any sort of creative freedom.. If this particular drama got this much heat then there will be something really deep going on... Sponsors don't back out of a project in just 2 days just because a small amount of people got offended...
You clearly don't have any idea of the status of Gandhi and the importance he holds to tell he could be shown pouring drinks to British and think that indians should be okay with it just because it's fiction... unlike korea were they only protest through the net, offended indians will be throught rocks at the maker's and actor's houses... it's foolishness to anger a mob and think one can get away with it... Just because something is fiction and there is something called creative liberty doesn't mean the makers can show whatever they want... For creative liberty and as fiction a film maker can show a victim marrying her rapist but that doesn't mean people who watched it should be fine with it and don't feel offended just because it's a freaking fiction... Davinci code was also a fictional movie but got banned in a lot of countries around the world because it hurt the religious sentiments of a large amount of people... And there are a lot of movies/dramas that get banned for religious and cultural reasons... it's not something exclusive to knetz or korean society...
Besides the controversial issues with historic events and royalties, use of century eggs and mooncakes plus many…
They are not actually zombies but spirits controlling humans... I didn't see the episodes but I read the article released by the makers before it's airing... But I agree on why they need an outsider to save them... Every religion has their own methods of getting ride of evil spirits and there was no need to show a foreigner coming and saving them... Its like the religions that existed at that time in Korea were not sufficient enough to get ride of evil spirits... One of the main problems with knetz is how one of the prince pour drinks to the priest... As far as I know pouring a drink to someone holds importance according to Korean culture( we can notice that even in modern dramas) and a prince pouring drinks to a person below him in status is inappropriate...
