i didnt expect anything from the drama after ep 8-9.... watched it just to see how annoying EO and JW will turn but surprisingly RY also turned into an unreasonable character...

now i am only interest in knowing how taecyeon will be revealed as the bad guy... i saw a post on insta that the makers confirmed he is the big baddy...

I dont know about others but for me personally gender doesn't matter and I call out problematic behaviour regardless…
i cannot speak for others but personally as i told earlier gender doesnt matter... i didnt like the FL of playful kiss either for the same reason i didnt like JW... as i told its hard to root for a main lead (regardless of gender) with no self respect... JW and EO's story basically looks like the gender reversed and upgraded version of the leads from playful kiss... "walk all over me as much as you want as long as you love me" is the motto of both JW and oh hani... they both will be happy with whatever crumbs EO and the ML from playful kiss throws at them...
since you binge watched the show, the leads wont come off as annoying for you as for me... imagine waiting every week for new episodes and all you get is 30 mins of JW whining and EO being selfish and cowardly and this going on for 2-3 weeks straight... you will be basically done with these two...
they did show EO trying to change but we never got to see her actually putting any effort to change herself... even after seeing him in misery for more than an year, she didnt even try to muster the courage and do something... she just went on with her life... even after kissing him she never put herself forward and talked it out... it took JW's multiple calls for her to speak up... she could have at-least talked to him on her own after kissing him and saying she regrets doing it... she basically talked only because JW irritated her to that level... at that time it wasnt even because she was a coward but just being pure selfish and completely inconsiderate of JW and his feelings... every single action of her's and the entire relationship became completely about her and JW just danced to her tone...
also the way they arranged the entire drama is also flawed... they bring up big problems just to brush it off as a comedy scene... no proper closure and random scenes... we still dont know why they gave so much screen time to minho when they never gave enough screen time to the other 2 couples... i love minho and loved seeing him so much on ep 17 but what was the point... they just gave an incomplete 3rd couple out of the blue... they could have used it to give more insight for GJ and RY... it had way too many loopholes...
i also liked the iv format and the characters talking about their inner feelings, the cinematography and the ost but the over all story-line was poorly done... it did had some really good scenes and JCW's acting in some emotional scenes were very heart touching( which is one of the reasons why i didnt want him to go back to EO)...
there is a movie called dear zindagi and its female oriented... the FL is much worst than EO but the movie makes the audience root for her because thats how its written... the FL is incapable of having a normal healthy relationships and ends up cheating on her partners when her partner is not even at any fault... that is a really flawed FL but its easier to understand her actions than EO because of the way her character is shown to the audience...

Also he was being pushy so that the FL don't try to blame herself for the cheating and breakup... To his luck it helped her and she even admitted that...
