watch nam ji hyun in 365:repeat the year... its a suspense thriller and her character is entirely different... before watchig that i also thought she is good only in rom-coms playing similar roles...

there is this day called karvachaut which is followed in the northern part of india where the wives fast an entire day for the health and long life of their husbands.. they end the fast after seeing the full moon and eats food from the hands of their husband...during that time i have seen in hindi movies the wives touching the feet of the husbands... as i am not from the northern part of india i have never seen that in real life.. i only saw that on hindi films...
i find the entire costume of karvachaut absurd and sexist... how the hell will the husband gain long life if the wife starve herself for an entire day? also there is a saying in hindi that husbands are equal to god which is bullshit... its just a way to keep the women submissive in the relationship...

thank god its not followed in my region... i wont even starve myself of an hour for someone else... lol

kdramas try to stay as much true to the original traditional wardrobe as possible... i guess there isnt much variety in hanbok and they can only change the colour combination of the wardrobe... there is a fixed dress code for everyone in the palace... the king will be in red with golden works, the ministers will be in a different shade of red, the eunuch will be in green etc...
i have only seen love in the moonlight giving different kind of wardrobe to the FL... her hanbok were floral which looked like modern hanbok..

the chinese version of this drama was a very low budget parody drama set in a fictional setup... its so absurd that we end up laughing on its absurdity...

bullying is shown in almost all fields in kdramas... i think south korea has a high rate of bullying mainly due to the importance of seniority... even in office dramas they show seniors hiting the head of the junior and publicly screaming at them or insulting them... the junior ones bare with it because senior-junior and age difference is a huge part of korean culture...
that bald guy was releasing his frustration on the weak guy only because he knows he can get away with it... when the ML went to hit him he controlled as much as he can because he knows hitting the ML comes with consequences... the ML comes from a rich family and his father is a powerful person...

if she killed her then why did they show joo dae tae remembering him pushing her down? that scene will so useless then...
unlike ssr dreaming csj strangling msa, jdt pushing her down is shown to be from his memory...

i never got why she gets so much hate... she isnt great but she isnt bad either... she is without a doubt better than most idol actresses esp suzy and yoona...
i have only seen her in bride of habaek and rookie historian before this one and in both she wasnt the bad actor...

i watched lucifer a few months ago... i watched an american series after ages... then i watched emily in paris... i dont think i watched anything non-asian after that... i tried watching YOU on netflix but i got bored and dropped it... after watching too many asian dramas i dont feel like watching western dramas...

From 1st episode itself startup gave me typical kdrama feels and I could predict the entire story...
Rumon gives a fresh feel and the story is not predictable... It's shot in a less dramatic way that most kdramas do...

I think they already changed the characterization of the king a lot and except for taking the basic of the story they already changed the entire premises of the story with 2 clans fighting for power
