i have only seen women covering their legs on ivs in korean entertainment industry... a lot of female actors dont sit until they get the blanket... i found it odd when i first got into kdramas... they cover it even if they are wearing shorts... india is also a very patriarchal society but i don't see hindi film female actors covering their legs like that and even call out photographers that try to take inappropriate photos... even though hindi films show toxic masculinity in the past a lot of newer movies and female-oriented and aims at women empowerment... i dont see that kind of change in korean dramas or movies...
the king and queen in mr.queen did exist in real... king cheoljung was a real king from korean history... they took the real timeline and changed some things as creative liberty which didnt go well with some knetz... but then knetz have problem with literally anything that exist in the world... the drama is only seeing increase in rating and is the slot leader even surpassing public channels... that itself shows majority of the audience watching it dont care and are loving it...
