In the Chinese version, the concubine faked her pregnancy. Maybe here too she would fake.
Arthdal chronicles, mr.sunshine etc are rare cases... The camera work and visual effects of cdramas seems way superior to kdramas... I guess the only difference is kdramas export their dramas and has better actors with more international star power whereas cdramas make most of its money from China itself... Kdramas faced a huge loss when china banned korean entertainment... Half of the money spend in kdrama seems to go in paying the top actors...
do you know how this drama did in korea? thanks! :)
It did well... It used to air at 10.30 on weekdays on a private channel and maintained a 5-6% rating throughout it's run... that's pretty good rating... Startup which aired at prime time on weekends on the same channel had a slightly lesser ratings...
Did it end with a cliffhanger or it only has 1 season?
Then I won't watch it... I don't like this seasonal format and ending with a cliffhanger... It's the reason why I stopped watching American series... God knows when s2 will come...
I love the sound track and rock music used in the drama... It gives a different vibe to the drama
That's for sure... It looks very realistic and they didn't even white wash the actors like usual kdramas... The colour palate and camera work gives the feel of movie rather than a drama...
But instead at the end of it all there's a love triangle
I will remember school 2017 forever mainly because it didn't had a love triangle even though it had 2 main leads and a female lead... From the poster and some of the initial episodes it looked like there will be a love triangle but thank god the FL and SL stayed as just good friends...
I'm a bit confused, is the queen the kings mom? and the grand dowager the grandma? So far the ML and SL are both…
They aren't his mother and grandmother... The mother queen is the wife of the late king... The present king just has royal blood as in he is a relative of the late king and the late king didn't had any heir to the thrown... So the kim clan brought the cheoljung as they though he is dump and incapable since he grew up as a commoner in a poor background... Rest of his family got assassinated for treason( wrongly accused it seems)... The grandmother queen is from the kim.clan and the mother queen is from jo clan... Both clans from fight to have the upper hand in power... The kingdom is controlled by these two clans and the king is just for namesake
she is the only reason i started watching this and watched all the 4 episodes...
I watched the first 5 episodes of find me in your memory and really liked her so I wanted to watch this one as well... In between I was watching other stuffs and when I decided to continue fmiym I saw Netflix will soon have it... So I am waiting to watch the rest on Netflix...
Very good points! I completely agree with what you said about Soojin. The only change of character ill accept…
Me too... I am fine with her having her own story rather than being a 3rd wheel... She seems to have some problem with her father and i hope they concentrate on that and make her more hadase instead of pinning for a boy...
that was hilarious... when he first said she got dumped here by a guy i also thought he was speaking about kim…
BR was a comedy and everyone were over the top... so his expressions were also stronger but in this one its more subtle as this one is more on the realistic side... his reactions in suspicious partner were also much more subtle than BR...
Wait, isn’t the whole premise of the switch is to show that No women would act like him in that era? He was…
everyone has a problem with the queen's attitude but she is the queen and everyone thinks she lost her memory and thats why she is acting weird... in the precap for ep 5, the voiceoer says the queen's behaviors is getting weird day by day.. also the chef behaves carefree because he thinks he can go back in no time... its only been few days since the chef entered the queen's body... it havent been a weak since their marriage...
Finished ep 4 and here’s my thoughts so far. I really hope that if the queens soul comes back and the Queen…
the queen in no way is gonna end up with the cousin because she is the queen and its the joseon era... the other name of this drama is queen cheorin and thats a real queen who is the wife of king cheol jong... the leads are fictional representatives of realpeople from korean history...
the king already has a soft spot for the queen as his friends said he cannot kill her due to his personal feelings... his soft corner for her is only going to increase and his feeling wont be from out of the blue...
people wouldnt have gone crazy over the second lead if the chemistry b/w the leads were amazing... the characterization and chemistry b/w the leads were weak and thats why hjp grabbed the limelight( kim seon ho's acting also played a huge role)
