i dont know how much they will change the history... when i googled about the real king he was literally a useless puppet king but the drama showed it as his facade and the real person is a hero...

i checked the number of episdoes of all the ongoing dramas i was planning to watch and none of that had 20 episdoes except the penthouse if i remember currently...
i dont know if MDL put 16 episodes before it started airing and then changed it into 20 episodes when it premiered...

i find mr.queen to be far more superior to gpg if we take gpg seriously... that drama was like a parody show with very bad acting( except the female lead... she was hilarious and gorgeous)...
some scenes were funny because it was that absurd and ridiculous and literally nothing made sense at all...

the expressions of kjh is very apt and very subtle when the queen acts out... he tries very hard to maintain his demeanor as a king as much as possible... he cannot show his desperation and passion in front of the grandma queen... dont foget he is acting as a helpless dumb king in front of everyone in the palace... he isnt the ultimate power like in the chinese version... his character has zero resemblance to his chinese counterpart... its an entirely different character...

i have only seen her in bride of habaek and rookie historian and in both she did way better than the MLs so i never understood why she gets the backlash when she isnt the one ruining the drama with single expressions...

He already is... His convo with the SFL proved it... Lol

I have seen gpg and this is an official adaptation so obviously it will have the same story as gpg... both gpg and mr.queen are adaptations of the same novel...

Since you have seen gpg you might know that the king wasn't in love with the other girl... He liked her but wasn't deeply in love with her... The king in mr queen would have sacrificed himself even for his brother and friend as well... He already has a soft spot for the queen and it's evident... I personally found nothing wrong with his acting at the begging scene...
The king and the queen have good chemistry and every single one of their scenes have been amazing... It's better if the king and the queen don't have romantic chemistry with the concubine and the cousin...

She don't care that he is older than her and more powerful than her... She just talked to him the same way she talks to everyone and even left before he was done talking ..

After each episode you will like ksg more and more... He is a cinnamon roll...
The FL, SFL and the SML are also amazing...
The dialogue exchange b/w characters are also amazing...

I think it's obvious that bong Hwan will go back to his body in the present...
The show at the start had 16 episodes and now it's 20episodes... They increased the episode because of the rating... I just hope they don't drag it...

She is rude to the FL but is savage to everyone else... The FL is strong enough to give it back to her so I like their interactions...

His conversation with literally every single person is interesting...

I am.waiitng for him to have a proper conversation with the second ML... That would be hilarious... They already met briefly but they didn't talk much...

I also want to see him with the bratty brother of the second FL...

if they follow the chinese drama version, the king exactly isnt in love with hwajin... he would have did the same thing if his brother or his friend was in that situation... he likes her but not exactly in love with her...
he clearly has a soft corner for the queen as well...

waikiki is a laugh riot esp in the first half...
school 2017 is the usual high school kdrama but i liked the 3 leads...
i also liked cloy but like you i didnt find anything special in it... but out of the other overhyped dramas i atleast got why cloy is such a big hit...

him doing so made the friend finally standup for himself and realized its not okay to stay silent on physical assult... he is weird and thats his weird way of solving things...

she is still confused with her feelings and havent reacted the stage of realizing she likes him romantically... she did take the money and like he dont give explanation of why he hit his juniors she also dont feel the need to explain it to him... ( the episode ended on her saying she got money but we have to wait for the next episode to get the clear picture)

from the precap it looks like he finds out himself...

my eyes got wet only twice while watching cloy... one is when the FL meets the rest of the gang in seoul and the second is when alberto dies...
i liked kim jung hyun in school 2017 as well as waikiki s1... havent seen time but i know what happened to him at that time... he can do both emotional as well as comedy roles pretty well...
both SHS and KJH are good actors and they have good chemisrtry as well...
