so true... the guy clearly told multiple times he dont want to do action and he wants to widen his range and experiment... if one or two of his choices dont please the majority then its totally fine... no one has a perfect filmography... atleast jcw is stepping out of his comfort zone and experimenting as an actor instead of using regular formulae and only giving importance to increase his stardom rather than acting skills...

the drama is about relationship among adults... so obviously they arent gonna run around trees singing songs... they will have an intimate relationship... those are people in their late 20s and early 30s...
the second episode's theme was how these characters define their sex life...
also none of the sex scenes were vulgar or aggressive or shot just for the sake of showing a sex scene... it goes well with the storyline...

lovestruck in the city is a good script and very realistic... just because he isnt being a macho alpha male in a drama doesnt mean he made bad choices...

dont know why people watch historical drama and that too of other countries and want to forcefully put their modern outlook to it and then belittle the entire drama just because its not according to their ideology...

even in modern times countries sacrifice minorities to save majorities... hundreds of soldiers are scarified to save millions of citizens... thats how the world works... it doesnt matter if you agree to it or not but thats how things work...

also did you forget the fact that the real queen also tried to kill the king? the real queen would have done everything her clan told her to do even if she didnt want to... she was a woman born and raised in a society like that... she wasnt a 21st century man with liberal thinking and pov... the king literally had no reason to trust the queen and his thinking is changing because of the chef in the queen's body and he is even ready to accept he was wrong... no jerk does that...

awards are mostly given on the basis of popularity... thats how some idol-actors who dont know the basic of acting gets multiple awards...
very few awards like the baeksang award ( that too only the critics award for best actor and actress) are given on the basis of acting skills...

if she knows his secret and if he dont kill her then he and everyone who is helping him will get killed... for him its one person's life in order to save several lives... he is trying to save the lives of the people of an entire country and trying to make their lives better... the queen is from the clan that is completely corrupt and the real queen, willingly or unwillingly was a part of it...

he has only shown to have affection towards the concubine and not in love with her... he would have sacrificed himself for his brother or his best friend the same way... dont forget he risked his life to save an infant... also by the end of ep 5 its him who saved the queen and he is only shown to have soften up to the queen and not having romantic feelings for her... he is finally trying to understand her instead of seeing her are a member of kim clan...
he is the king and he can officially have multiple wives and he is supposed to show affection to everyone... even if its a fantasy drama its still set in the joseon era and even has fictional versions of real king and queen from korean history...

are you watching the same show? the king is anything but a jerk... he has literally no reason to trust the queen and still he wanted to make 100% sure whether she heard their conversation or not... he is baring all the insults and acting like a puppet king so that he was save himself from getting killed and do something for the people of the country... he was ready to reveal his facade infront of his enemies just to save one of hwa jin...

they pre released the clip and its just the imagination of mr.queen... he thinks if his soul is inside the queen then its possible that her soul will be inside his body... the queen might be going around and hitting on men in his body...

gives the same vibe... storywise this is a remake of hwood movie 17 again...

only upto ep 4 is subbed and till that its amazing and hilarious... ep 5 came out today only and i havent watched it...

i though they will only do till she was wearing the tank top i was surprised when she removed it... both the scenes were shot really well and romantically...

i think the real queen will become much bolder after coming back and it will be fun to watch.... like secret garden they might swap bodies occasionally only...

the rating of ongoing dramas keep fluctuating and its not a big deal... more popular dramas will have more buzz and more rating...
true beauty is not as good as mr.queen or runon but it has the most buzz and more young audience who makes noise on social media... but mr.queen already passed double digit rating which clearly shows that more people watches that show and since its a comedy and dont have shipping war it wont create much noise on sns...
non-korean dramas are less popular than kdramas and the popular ones does have high ratings like untamed and nirvana on fire and gifted...
