the last two kdramas i watched on netflix mainly because it was on netflix were roy and startup so the third time i will be extremely cautious... i will only watch runon if it maintains a good review atleast for the first 10 episodes...
Things I will remember of start-up:- HJP- this comment section and the people I met while the drama was airing
the comment section is the only reason why i didnt drop this drama... i lost interest around ep 7-8 but i watched all the 10 episdoes in a go and watched the rest of the episodes every week just to be part of the comment section....

i might also give run on a try after seeing its review... its on netflix and im siwan has a pretty decent filmography and is also a decent actors as well... i have only seen shin se kyung in bride of the habaek( which i completed just for the sake of it) and rookie historian which i dropped after the first half... both the time she wasnt the reason i didnt like the drama even though i have heard she is heavily criticized for her acting... i am also not familiar with the rest of the cast...

i watched s1 when it was onair and the first few episodes were hilarious... in some scenes i laughed till my stomach ached... seon ho and the landlady scenes are hilarious... s2 also has some hilarious scenes but dont match upto s1... but s1 started getting draggy when the makers and channel decided to extend the number of episodes... it was supposed to be a 16 ep drama but got extended to 20 due to its unexpected popularity...
i have no plan to watching true beauty... after 2-3 dramas of cha eun woo i decided to stay far away from his dramas... i like moon ga young but not enough to bare with CEW

Ratings stayed around 5% and decreased a bit towards the end. 5% is pretty good for a tvN drama but the producers…
5% is decent for a private channel if the drama is not airing on the weekend or is airing late at night... but startup aired at 9pm on sat-sun with popular actors and famous writer and director... so it under-performed for the channel... tale of the nine tailed also ended with a slightly higher rating than startup but it is a way bigger hit for tvn than startup because it aired on weekdays at 10;30pm and except for lee dong wook there are no big names associated with the drama... it had a lower budget than startup as well... so totnt is a hit show for the channel...
Honestly I don't get all the Sun Ho hype. I've been watching him acting all silly on 1N2D for the last year and…
the hype about kim seon ho is because of his acting skills and not solely because of his physical appearance... he is good looking but almost every other kdrama actor is... he also has great screen presence... an actor with great acting skills and immense screen presence can easily make audience fall in love with him if he gets the right role... hjp was that role for kim seon ho...

That phone is in almost all the dramas nowadays... In tail of the nine tailed also the ML uses that... 2-3 months ago it was the Samsung flip phone that was with almost all the rich characters
startup had more inconsistencies, plot holes, loose ends, weird turn of directions for characters than totnt... at the end totnt is a fantasy which gives the makers much more creative liberty and can be as much unrealistic as they want... on the other hand startup is set in a real world but their business world was more of a fantasy than the world of gumihos and imoogis and dieties... hjp was anything but a jerk... he was the most well written and well acted character in startup... he was a flawed character played flawlessly by kim seon ho... its not his fault if the main leads had lousy writing and majority of the audience couldnt connect to their character or their 'destined love story'... lee rang did evil things and he had to pay for it right after he started getting love... the makers made him pay for his actions in a very non-violent and more effective way... on the other hand startup just brushed off dosan's obsession with dalmi and romanticized it...
the thing is totnt managed to make majority of the viewers sympathize with a character so flawed like lee rang but start up couldnt make a major chunk of audience like its male lead... this shows how much the makers of startup screwed up the character of dosan...
i have watched both totnt and startup... startup is no way better than totnt... totnt wasnt a perfect drama but it still maintained a better standard throughout its run than startup... totnt even managed to make the audience like a semi-villian like lee rang and feel sympathetic to him even though he was extremely immature and his miseries were his own doing... startup couldn't even make majority of the viewers root for the male lead... totnt managed to get slightly higher rating than startup at 10:30pm on weekdays and it was not available on netflix either... still it managed to do better than startup... totnt's genre was fantasy but startup managed to show more unrealistic things than totnt...
I hope the mods delete these fake accounts soon. It's the same people trying to manipulate ratings.
so true... if you love or hate a drama just rate it and review it with your own valid account... who is there to question you on that? why create a fake one for it and waste so much time on it...
Not really, he experienced love after all and he lived for 600 years....he was a very complex character i cried…
the entire first half of the drama emphasized on his feelings and he got the best scenes and the best deal in the drama... he even had a spin off of 3 episodes solely dedicated to him... he killed people just for fun and helped in bringing back imoogi just because he was emotionally immature and wanted attention from his brother... after everything he ended up having people who love him and care for him apart from his brother who literally gave a blind eye to all the evil things he did and still loved him... none of his personal sufferings justify all the things he did until he realised his brother loved him all along... his death was one of the most obvious things in the drama and they atleast gave him such an emotional and deep ending scene...
