i didnt even notice there is a love theme for 16 long episodes... if NDS and SDM had the same theme then its obvious why.. . the makers might have wanted to give HJP equal importance as dosan and dalmi without dalmi ending up with him like in boys over flowers... the 2nd lead was almost as important as the main leads even though the FL didnt end up with him... but startup changed that because they no more afford to give hjp more screentime as its backfiring on them.... we will never know what the writer actually wanted but one thing i am sure is at the starting the makers had no plan of making dalmi end up with hjp...

its kind of obvious that the writer had to change the stroyline halfway through but i think the endgame was always the same... she might have wanted to have a more intense love triangle with dalmi actually giving hjp a chance but still choosing dosan... but due to the immense popularity of hjp, the makers were afraid to give him more screentime to hjp-dalmi and to show dalmi still had something for the dosan from the letters... so they completely wiped out all the possibilities of dalmi showing any kind of interest in hjp and in that process ruined dalmi's charater arc and the drama... but i dont think from the start the writer wanted hjp-dalmi as endgame... at max the writer wanted to change the endgame to hjp after seeing audience reaction but had to stick with the original endgame and also decrease HJP's screentime due to pressure....
