If you like dark fantasy dramas then you might like it but if you are expecting something like goblin then you will be disappointed..
The show has some really creepy scenes and has a lot of korean myth references... So we international fans might not get everything if we don't Google about it...

On the brighter side Lee dong wook has never been this hot and irresistible...

I don't know how njh is so popular but he is popular... One of the main reasons why dosan still ends up being the lead is because of njh's popularity... He is even signed on by one of the best agencies for actors... Just look at the list of actors soop management has...

We should be thankful that hjp managed to make it till ep 12.. dosan, dalni and everyone else got ruined by ep 6-7...

Njh is without a doubt a bigger star than kim seon ho and he has mutliple endorsement deals... The makers will sell the drama to other countries in the name of Suzy and njh... He has 13.5m followers on insta making him one of the top 5 most followed korean actors so it's obvious he is a hallyu star...
I have heard that backstreet rookie which got so much backlash and a above average rating is one of the most profitable dramas of 2020 solely because the makers were able to sell it to other country's in the name of JCW...

Ksh is relatively a new actor to the drama world and in just 3years he made it this big solely because of his acting skills... Comparing ksh's popularity to njh right now is like comparing njh's popularity to Kim soo Hyun or Lee min ho's popularity... even then kim seon ho is stealing all the thunder because when it comes to acting he is superior...

Also njh in running man won't do any big difference because he isn't a crowd puller in Korea like park bo gum... There is a reason why startup couldn't bring in the ratings even thought the initial episodes were 10times better than record of youth... Startup has 2 hallyu stars with a very famous writer whereas record of youth only had park bo gum and Roy still managed to have much higher rating... Getting a high rating for a below average show is what is called star power...

Ksh is Kim soo Hyun... The highest paid korean actor... He has the it factor...
Do kyungsoo has multiple successful movies under his belt and he is exo's d.o... the guy is way more popular than njh... The fact is kyungsoo don't even need to constantly do dramas to stay relevant... He just needs to do it once in a while... Also that one drama broke records which njh haven't done even after doing dramas back to back for 3-4 yrs... Kyungsoo along with park bo gum are considered to be the best actors in their age group...

If he didn't had the it factor he wont have been overshadowing the entire drama... He is even no.1 in actor's brand reputation leaving behing big names like njh and Lee dong wook...

Do kyungsoo is also of the same age and has a super successful movie/drama career as well as singing career and has never been criticised for his acting... The guy acted in just one drama as a lead and managed to get 12+% rating... Same for park bo gum... That guy is capable enough of giving high ratings for a drama like record of youth... That is what you call star power...

There is a difference b/w being a star and being an actor... This difference is the reason why kim seon ho was able to steal the hearts of majority of the audience even though he is the lesser known star and is not in his prime age and is playing second lead...

The makers are concerned about the rating... They make money from it...
Also nobody here has any problem with njh or his age... We are talking about characters and the only appeal of dosan is he is played by a famous actor and most of the people who like dodal are njh fans...
Even you agree that HJP didn't had a chance because njh is dosan and not because dosan as a character is appealing...

Won't be true... If they wanted kim seon ho as main lead they would nt cast njh as dosan...it's pretty obvious that njh gets 2times more money for the drama than ksh

njh has bigger hands than ksh... Even though ksh is decently tall he is petite whereas njh is very tall and we'll build...njh entire body structure is bigger than ksh's...
Ksh has pretty and soft hands though...
