Almost all of BR's comedy and parody are connected to classic korean movies, international movies that are a hit in korea and domestically popular korean dramas.. thats one of the reasons why a lot of international viewers didnt find the initial episodes funny.. the makers didnt care about DS's appearance because the korean audience didnt care about his appearance.. so BR dont really try to satisfy the international fans( i mean non-asian) and their sole focus is the Korean market..
almost all entertainment industries of countries with single race will be ignorant.. from your name you seems to be indian and you can clearly understand how ignorant and racism some bwood movies are and the makers or the general public dont care.. its the same for koreans.. even hollywood started to change and be considerate of others only for a couple of years.. even after being a global industry they wanted to cast a white woman as mulan and if china and asian countries were such a big market for them they wouldnt have minded the backlash either..

DH didnt react wrongly.. he clearly knows what happened to his parents due to YJ's family.. no one with an ouch of self respect will want to go back into that relationship.. his mother was clearly crossing the line with her YJ admiration and completely ignoring the humiliation they faced and what exactly DH wants..
DH for the first time is pretty clear about what he wants and what he dont want.. he clearly knows himself.. its SB that was doubting herself and her self worth..

i would have been fine with this episode if it wasnt the second last episode.. its episdoe 15 and more than half of the next episdoe is gonna get wasted on finding SB, then 10 to 15 mins on convincing her then the last 5 mins of them being together.. if we are lucky then may be will will get a forehead kiss(lol)..

then in white chicks also they could have gone undercover without coloring their face but they stole the identities of 2 white women so they have to color their face..
same way those high school kids were trying to recreate a viral video so obviously they need to color their faces.. if they were on the darker side of the skin then they wouldnt have to do that..
as i told people are simply being overly sensitivities and making a mountain out of the mole..

spoiler alert:

the FL is actually in a coma and her soul was wandering around.. when she kissed the ML she kind of got flashback of her past.. so she wanted to know more about herself and find a solution to why she is still stuck on earth.. she herself was not aware that she is not dead..



whatever the purpose is, she would have kissed him she got the chance.. in BR saetbyul got the chance and in biog the FL didnt get the chance.. thats the only difference.. for the FL in biog, the kiss was a source to information while for SB it was her way of thanking him.. none of them wanted to kiss the ML out of lust..

i absolutely loved DS and GB scenes.. the scene were they disclose their relationship to DH and SB was also hilarious.. DH and SB not even in their widest dream though these two will get together.. their first reaction seeing them holding hands was superglue..
SB wasnt being considerate of DH's feelings.. i would have understood her action if she was not aware of DH's feelings.. he clearly moved on from YJ and even if she leaves him he is not gonna go back to YJ.. just one bump in their relationship and she ran away.. her action would have been still justified if DH's mother showed some kind of dislike over their relationship.. that also didnt happen.. DH's mother would have been more than happy if she knew about them and would have never forced DH to give YJ another chance.. DH's mother thinks DH is not going back to YJ solely coz of what happened to her and her husband.. she dont know her son not only moved on but also fell for someone else..
thats not a reaction i expected from a girl who sees DH as her dream man..

i like it when someone shows people that hurt him/her their places in a dignified manner rather than being insulting or loud about it.. thats why i like DH's character.. he gives it back without taunting or insulting YJ.. she got the point at the end..

those kids did a cosplay to a famous viral video and had no intentions of mocking or degrading anyone.. its as simple as people dressing up as jack sparrow..
in white chicks also two people from a different race dressed up as another race.. thats exactly what the kids from highschool did..
dressing up as a different race for a fancy dress competition or a cosplay or a play is not racist..

SB didnt kiss DH when he was in a relationhsip..
also ghost or not the guy can clearly feel the physical intimacy and so can she.. the guy is a human.. she fell in love with him as a ghost and even dated him as a ghost..
also she wanted to kiss him again to regain her memory and not to leave th earth..

all i want to say is the viewership of netflix matters so the opinion of international fans are also taken into consideration.. kdramas that air on netflix along with its actual airtime kind of gives importance to the sentiments of international fans as well.. the makers are careful with what they show..

if you are taking about this, then they are simply dressed up as the members from the famous viral video.. they obviously arent trying to be racist.. this is same as the american movie white chicks wear 2 black men dresses up as white women..
if a tanned or dark skinned person wants to look like donald trump for a parody play then obviously he will have to use something to whitewash his face.. thats not racism..

i am indian.. turbans are wore mostly by the sikh community( some others also wear it but in a different way and not as prominent as the sikhs) and since they are one of the most migrated communities of india, others usually associate turban to all indians..
here whatever he is wore dont even come close to a turban.. infact when i first saw it didnt even remind me of turban or associated it to india or indians.. that looked like the head towel koreans use inside the suna and i though of his as a headband..

netflix has the official international airing rights of tkem, iotnbo, mpub etc.. it airs internationally around the same time as it airs on the channel.. so the viewership on netflix does matter to the makers.. like tvn is the distributor in korea, Netflix is the distributor internationally..

koreans are mostly ignorant and not racist.. almost all countries that dont have a huge population of other ethnicity, race or culture are ignorant and have stereotypical image of other races..

nobody in india wears anything like that on their head even while not doing yoga..
that looked like a hairband and dont seems to have anything to do with india..
i see literally everyone( even in western shows) saying namaste multiple times if they show yoga... even indians dont say that much namaste.. lol

japan-korea conflict is much bigger for koreans than a highschooler kissing an older guy.. they are very sensitive when it comes to japan.. those are subjects that trigger nationalism in people.. as an indian i know how much sensitive indians are when it comes to colonization and partition..
also tkem is a netflix original so they will take international fan's concerns into account as well..
DS character got backlash only for his intro scene in korea and nothing else.. also i heard the black guy who appeared in the show is quite well known in korea and not some random person they caste for the role.. i read that on soompi forum( just found out it yesterday and since then have been going through the comments in it).. dont know if its true.. BR definelty dont care about international backlash.. the show is solely for koreans as the humor in the show is filled with parodies that only koreans will understand..

at the end the FL of biog and br did want they did without being considerate of the ML.. even though she is a ghost she still knows how the world works and still had her human emotions intact..
so how come one get a free pass and the other dont?

we dont know if they deleted any scenes or not.. knetz got angry after the airing of first 2 episodes and the makers got the warning from the censor board almost after a month of airing.. by this time they might have already shot a lot.. it seems like they planned something else and changed it last minute.. YJ was completely out of the picture after the breakup and suddenly popped out..
i ready even moonlight drawn by the cloud also received backlash from knetz for showing kyj change her clothes and kissing pbg but that never ended up getting this much complaints and warning.. so BR makers might not have taken the initial uproar that seriously..

in BIOG also she tried to kiss him without his permission multiply times but didnt get successful.. she literally stalked him for a kiss and started living in his house and followed him to his college.. she also didnt respect his privacy or personal space..
if we see a lot of these actions with a micrsocopic view then almost all scenes in dramas and movies we see will end up being problematic.. even the prince kissing sleeping beauty while she was unconscious will be problematic if we want to see it as problematic..

now that i think of, it looks like they either changed the story or toned down SB-DH scenes because of the complaints..
the first 6-7 episodes were different and a bit bolder... SB's dream of the pulp fiction parody ended with a kiss and SB-DH had more physical interactions in the initial episodes than after the breakup and DH-SB being unofficially together..
scenes from ep 6 and 7 were in the trailer of the show, so it was shot before the drama started airing..
now even SB's dreams are not as wild as before.. she dont even react anywhere near his lips and the makers even deleted that scene from the actual episode..

the boss guy was listed in the main cast and was even there to promote the show on running man but is more of a cameo than puppy.. seems like his character got cut down a lot.

the main problem with many was that the FL in BR kissed a guy while wearing school uniform.. even seatbyul is not underage at the time she kissed..
in bring it on ghost the FL was in school uniform inside a school while kissing and the actress was underage for real..
in goblin, although she wasnt in her uniform, she was still in highschool when she kissed him..
