On It's Okay to Not Be Okay Jul 21, 2020
i just watched the fabricated city and sangtae oppa is the main villain in it.. i have only seen the actor playing funny characters.. he is good as a villain as well but i couldn't hate the villain solely because i love him as ST.. i loved him it touch your heart and when the camellia blooms..
he is amazing in iotnbo as well.. he portrays a person with autism so well.. i personally like his acting most in this drama after seoyeji..

The whole drama is filled with parodies of other dramas and movies. I think 2-3 per episode. It is not even subtle,…
the feisty girl and calm guy thing..

why care about the rating when the show has only good reviews and keeping the views satisfied.. its a netfliz…
i just meant dont stress about the ratings when its not affecting the show in a bad way..
also the majority of the reviews are good.

Man the ratings really tanked :I Last episode had the worst one yet
why care about the rating when the show has only good reviews and keeping the views satisfied.. its a netfliz show and its doing well on netflix and tvn dont seem to have a problem with the rating.. also the rating havent affected the quality of the show either..

Title Backstreet Rookie Spoiler
I can kind of see the stalking behavior. Sb liked him since she was a kid at karate. Therefore she always had…
just because DH has a gf is not a reason for her to quit the job when she didnt had any intention of breaking them up.. she was good at her job and she was truly dedicated to her job.. she gives her 100% on any job she does.. its not her fault if YJ is an insecure person and has no trust on her bf and dont listen to anything he says and makes assumptions on her own.. if the role was reversed and DH was the insecure one, should YJ leave her job just because of DH dont like YJ interesting with her boss? should YJ leave behind everything she worked on just coz someone is insecure?
also just because YJ's father is not a primary character like YJ's mother in the show doesnt mean he has no hands in raising YJ or has no influence on her.. she is an only child so obviously she got all the attention from her parents considering how asian parents are..
just because she never had a one on one interactions with any of her friends doesn't mean she dont have any friends.. you need to be close enough to someone for them to show up instantly after going through a breakup.. the boss is also her close friend and she never drew any line b/w them even after knowing he loves her but she wants to control DH's interaction with other girls.. relationship is a two way street.. she wanted all the freedom but wanted to control DH's life.. thats not how a relationship works..

ya.. the parody thing is not for everyone and unfortunately the drama has more parody than comedy.. but then the show is mainly made for koreans and they get it and thats what matters for the makers..
also the dialogues exchanged by SB and DH while they are bickering are also funny..

I can kind of see the stalking behavior. Sb liked him since she was a kid at karate. Therefore she always had…
her dad was shown and DH saw the boss with YJ on her father's birthday.. so YJ grew up with both her parents.. her father was mentioned multiple times on the show and was even shows 1 or 2 times and it is her father that has the 2nd highest share at the company..
again YJ has a lot of close net friends and she was seen hanging out with them on two occasions.. she has friends close enough to be with her at night after her breakup..
for the last 10 episodes YJ was given as much importance and screen-time as SB and DH to the level some people questioned who the FL is and it was made pretty clear that YJ does have feelings for DH but she still wasnt sure about her relationship with him. so nobody really questions her feelings for DH but her behavior in the relationship.. she clearly dont respect him or trust him.. she made the entire relationship about herself and never had any consideration towards DH.. so its not like YJ's thought process or her pov was never shown in the drama.. there is no justification to the treatment YJ gave DH after the breakup.. she is the one who cheated on him and she called him a cheater based on her assumptions and showed no guilt for what she did.. (what happened to his parents was not her fault and i dont blame her for that).. how is having a controlling mother leads up to cheating DH.. her mother had nothing to do with her cheating.. she did that coz she was done with the relationship..
SB clearly has a lot of respect for the person DH is.. she acknowledges the goodness and kindheartedness of DH which most of the people sees as his weakness.. if her sole purpose was to break his relationship and have him for herself she would have never even thought of quiting the job and keeping her distance.. she kept her distance from him the moment DH told her not to cross the line and willingly stayed far away from him after YJ asked her to.. DH himself went to help her and DH's mother took her to their house.. so any interaction they had after the hospital was not initiated by her and she was completely out of the picture when YJ cheated on DH..

you do know that the background and age of a person are taken into consideration while giving judgment.. not everyone who kills a person gets the same number of years in jail as punishment.. at the end of the day killing is killing but still, the intensity of the punishment varies based on the circumstances and nature of the crime. if everything was black and white then the job of the judges, lawyers and prosecutors would have been so much easy..
the advantages of having a wonderful father are clearly shown in the characteristics of SB.. she uses her fist only when she is wronged and dont use it to bully people, she makes money by working hard and not by any illegal method, she has the sense of responsibility towards her sister. SB clearly has more good points on her side than bad.. a person's character is not solely based on their upbringing by their parents but other factors as well.. SB clearly has a higher sense of right and wrong than YJ..
except for having a controlling mother, YJ dont have any other weak points.. she is educated, financially strong and has a successful career.. she never had to face the harsh reality of life at a young age.. she got everything she wanted easily.. on the other hand, the only advantage SB had is a loving father and she lost him at a very young age.. she grew up without a mother, financial security or education.. also its not like YJ has an estranged relationship with her mother.. the only thing YJ has a problem with her mother is her controlling nature.. except that they seems to have a normal mother-daughter relationship.. almost all rich asian parents have problem with their children dating from lower social circle..

the girl clearly needs to grow and she dont think admiring him while he is asleep is invading his personal space.. infact half of the leads(esp male leads) regardless of the country dont know that. i have seen lead kissing the other lead who is sleeping and its shown to be romantic.. she at-least knew where to stop and didnt kiss him.. these kind of scenes were not invented by this show..

no kdrama leads are as creepy as edward cullen or damon salvator or mr.grey or ezra fitz.. infact centuries old vampires and school teachers were sleeping around with underaged girls and people have problem with a peek on the lips by an 18yr old girl..

you cannot expect a girl grew up without parental guidance at an age when she needed it the most, to be perfect.. she is short-tempered and solves problems using her fist and thinks just because she likes DH, she has some sort of right over him.. she needs to grow up as a person and thats one of the reasons why DH shows concern over her and feels responsible towards her.. same with his mother as well.. you can clearly imagine the kind of stuff a girl of her age might have gone through trying to make a living for her and her sister.
viewers are harsher towards YJ is because she didnt grew up like SB and is lot more older than her.. she clearly knows right from wrong but still thinks whatever she does is right. SB dont know that and when she realized that her affection for DH was giving him trouble she herself backed out.. the misunderstandings are caused mainly because of the little trust YJ has on DH and her unwillingness to hear his side of the story and coming to conclusions on her own.. SB is just a secondary cause.. the boss and YJ gave DH more reasons to misunderstand Yj but he never questioned her coz he trusted her..whereas YJ started doubting DH the moment she came to know his part-timer is a girl..

she met him at 12 then at 18-19 and then at 21-22.. she never stalked him or followed him around in all those years.. she has been working her ass of to make a living in those 3 years and she wasnt even in seoul for a long time to stalk him.. after 3 yrs she directly came to him and applied for the job..
except for the first 2 episodes were the makers intentionally showed SB on a bad light she never did anything stalkerish or tried to hamper his relationship.. having someone on their mind has nothing to do with stalking.. if so then we can say a lot of kdrama leads are stalkerish since a lot of them met at childhood and kept those memories in mind and had soft-spot for one another..
both SB and DH talks in a very friendly manner and he also gets close to her while talking.. she does everything in a playful manner and to irritate DH.. she never had any harmful intentions towards DH..
DH never felt afraid or unsafe with SB and her actions.. irritated-yes but not afraid or unsafe.. he clearly sees her actions as childish and bickers with her or play along with her.. initially he misunderstood her but after that was solved he was also very comfortable around her.. infact he was more comfortable around SB than he was with his gf of 2yrs.. a stalker dont make his victims comfortable with their presence..
you know stalking, pedophilia, sexual harassment are too big of a word to be used just like that..
