Her feeling for the ml is not at all sudden. She has been spending a lot of time with him in close proximity and she has been aware of his feelings for her for quite sometime. She herself started being attracted to him for a long time now and she kept denying it and makes herself believe she will only love her late husband. Her denial became stronger when the maiden's mother told her she and her late husband are destined to be together. The ml can feel it that she also likes him.

It's obvious the grandma has something to do with her parent's death. She might not be directly involved but she knows what happened. She was at the spot when the accident happened.

Not a big fan of rowoon or his acting but he definitely is miles ahead of cew in acting

The fl is frustratingly dumb or naive or whatever. She got multiple death threads and still she don't feel the need to make sure the place she lives in is secure. Like atleast get a door lock. She has her entire life savings in that house where anyone can easily enter. 🙄 Never saw someone this careless. Even the house owner don't care that a young girl is living in that building with no security.

The overall vibe of this drama is good and since it's only 12 episodes with 45mins runtime it don't come off as draggy but...

I don't think she is gonna end up with the crown prince esp since he is just a child. Keeping the age aside The crown prince can only end up with a girl from a powerful family who can support him politically and Hana is only a noble woman with no backing. I think the guy she is about to marry is way more powerful than he shows himself to be and he might be someone close to the crown prince and Hana will eventually end up being a mentor or an advicer like person for the crown prince.

If you have seen other kdramas with Korean mythological creatures who are assigned to take soul or help souls to transfer to the other world they are all cursed humans like the goblin or the grim reaper. So the writer of this drama might have just created a demon which has features of a demon from Bible as well as Korean mythology. It might be a mix and in that case the demon can be someone who are assigned to do the dirty works. It's never revealed why he is collecting souls and how many souls he is supposed to collect like in goblin where the grim reaper has to collect souls for this many years to be forgiven of his sins and be reborn again.

So far I am enjoying this drama. It has a lot of subplots and murder mysteries so if you start to watch it give attention to details. They don't repeat anything and it will take time to get used to all the characters as the cast is big.

I never felt it was trying to be funny considering except rowoon, his servant and the third maiden none of the other characters are silly and does funny things. Jung woo is the only truly funny character with his comic reaction to couples and exaggerated reactions to the fl.

In the story soon deok told it's said that the couple uncovered a lot of corruption as well. So if my guess of the brother in law being one of the couple is right then his father might have killed him because he got to know too much about his corruption.
There is fiction between the mother in law and the father in law. The fil is jealous of the mil's smartness and intelligence. From the way she treats the fl she don't come off as completely bad. So if he is the one who killed the eldest son there are high chances she will turn against him in the end.

I like rowoon's character in this one way better than destined with you. It had comedy for the first few episodes but then it went into a different tangent whereas his character here is funny from the start till now. This is light hearted drama but not exactly a comedy.

She is from a higher class family with her father being a famous scholar. She is high ranked to be a palace maid. As far as I have seen palace maids are either from lower caste or higher class women are made into palace maids as a punishment or to clear debts. Being a palace maid is a degradation to her status.
If you have noticed they have kept the family bg of the guy selected for her. So he might be someone who is close to the royal family and she might end up being close to the crown prince.

Since it's obvious that the left minister is the one who is falsely framing the real yeoduseok he himself either killed his son or he is covering up a suicide. I am not sure if I am guessing it right since I didn't understand all the people they named. They said something about an opponent of the left minister giving statement and the people who got framed were his people. I didn't get it properly

I am binge watching summer strike and already have 4 other ongoing dramas with 5th one coming this weekend. So too busy to care to watch the last 2 episodes. 😂
