A mix of good and bad
Okay, so I have thoughts. This series definitely have a mix of good and bad things.
I'm gonna admit and say that I wasn't the biggest fan of it in the beginning. The pacing was pretty slow and the ghost story felt a bit random, but it was actual a great set up for the romance.
In the middle (EP 4-7), it was the sweetest, cutest thing I've ever seen, and I rarely see two character's feelings in that good of a way.
Now, in the very end there's an event that is so random with no follow up that I'm questioning why it's there. It genuinly just feels like something for drama and for the characters to be able to say "I love you".
I also want to mention the emotional scenes that was definitely this series lowest point. I felt absolutely nothing, and I think the reason is because there was no real build up and I which we could've seen even more of the juicy character conflict that they had such a good base for.
Also, justice for Dao's power, cause we had it in the 4 first episodes, and then we just never saw it again? It could have been used to show character development in such a great way, but they just didn't.
I do wanna praise the charactarization for Dao and especially Arthit. Even though we didn't get to see that much of their conflict, I still really liked them and they felt complex and layered.
In the end I gave it a pretty high rating just BECAUSE the middle is just *chief's kiss
It's up to you to decide whether it's worth a watch, but unless you're not too hang up on the emotional scenes, it's a pretty good series.
