You pretty much summarized what the local fans think about the story. The writer did poorly with the second couple storytelling. The second couple is like in a different universe where they have no business with the main story. Plus, the straight couple is totally unnecessary if they couldn't even write a reasonable story of the second couple. It's a BL story not a BG story, okay! I can ignore other things but I'm totally disappointed at the second couple story. Moreover, they have 20 eps to tell the story but it still ends up like the step-brothers in Crossing The Line with not much going on.
I've heard that the original script of Trapped was 8 eps by Lin PeI Yu, just like season 2. This time there were two writers(Lin was still there) writing the story of 20 eps. I think they didn't change much of the last few eps but they did rewrite the story of the eps of the first half with some unnecessary characters and story. So that's why it looks like they rush the last few eps with the reveal. There's no excuse though since they had so much time writing the story with two writers.

For the international fans, it's pretty hard. But for the local fans, it's pretty easy since most of them don't like it.

Plus, based on the spoiler photo, Tang Ti "might" go to jail after shooting Shao Fei. Shao Fei did mention he would stop Tang Yi from shooting anyone 'cuz he had to get Tang Yi arrested if he did that.

There was a video circulating on Weibo, in which a Chinese girl cried lilke hell, saying she waited for so long but all she could see is Chen Wen Hao. That explains a lot why the Chinese and Taiwanese don't like it. They just want a lovey dovey BL.

I think the main problem is they don't like dramatic storyline and they hate the writer pay too much attention to the side characters. That is, they want the focus to be on the main and the second leads like Obsessed, Right Or Wrong and Crossing The Line.

…The "China area" thing seems to get out of hand. The Chinese are now trying to make it blow up on Weibo…Besides, they have never stopped talking how bad Trapped has been so far and even compared to the shitty ending of Game Of Thrones…

Chinese are pathetic in a way that if they fight for their freedom of speech, they'll probably end up in jail or disappearing in the whole world. That's how scary the situation is. That's why oy's easy to take it out on a free speech country like Taiwan.

The relationship between China and Taiwan has been pretty bad. I personally don't care about what Chinese fans said 'cuz most of them watch every BL through illegal website. I just hope the actors' future don't be affected by them 'cuz many Taiwanese celebrities have been boycotted by the Chinese people after they worked with people or production companies that said something not political correct when it comes to Taiwan/China issue.

I agree. I think that's the reason why we the international fans are crazy about it but not the locals. We want something new.

He just knew his painful back story...It's reasonable for him to be harsh. But I can understand why people don't like Trapped. It's too intense and story-based. Not enough lovey-dovey moments.

Many Chinese fans are so pissed that the official put "China area" in the pre-order page of a series of Trapped products. The official even said due to the limitation of genre in "China area," they can't make shipment to "China area." The Chinese people couldn't take it and said they wanna boycott HIStory from now on 'cuz Taiwan is part of China. So for them, it's not right to say "China area" but should say "Mainland China area." The official Facebook fan page of HIStory is like a warfare now with Taiwanese joining the debate.

Jeez, these Chinese fans are so pathetic! Stop bringing politics into BL!!!

I'm pretty sure we'll get sex scenes from both couples in the last ep.
