Well you think that. We all don't know what actually happened and what he actually was thinking. But I still believe he was a new adult and life threw stones at him right away with no person around him. He was clueless. He came back that day with absolutely no intention of meeting anyone. Yingtao and Qiaoxi accidentally met that day and he was forced to lie. He couldn't out of the blue blurt out his current problems all of a sudden and freak out her more when she was just expecting to see him. He didn't have any choice you see
