To avoid being assigned to a political case, he transfers from the civil law court to a law firm, aiming to handle more business disputes. Unexpectedly, he ends up in the divorce department, which he despises. However, he discovers that this department allows him to apply his analytical strengths in even more creative ways. After helping many people “wake up” from emotional entanglements, he begins to reflect on the emotional trauma in his own childhood. He realizes that his long-time fear of commitment and love stems from his parents’ toxic marriage.

Just when he thinks his life is set on a stable path, Li Zhizhong returns to his hometown due to a case. There, he meets Zhou Yiran—a woman who seems like his complete opposite. Her warm and intuitive approach completely clashes with his own rational thinking. Through their constant clashes and interactions, Li Zhizhong begins to face the feelings and vulnerabilities he has long buried and starts to truly reexamine everything about his future.

She believes all women should live their lives clearly and freely, and she’s always the first to suggest breaking up. She knows how to guide others to heal, but she hasn’t yet healed herself.

After losing her job and relationship at the same time, she decides to return to her hometown and start fresh. Despite her strong exterior and independence, she is still deeply affected by her parents’ unhappy marriage. As someone who has always been in the “helper” role in emotional matters, she begins to doubt whether she truly understands love, especially when she finds herself caught up in a whirlwind with someone like Li Zhizhong.

Over the course of several client cases, Wu Naijuan and Li Zhizhong are forced to work closely together. Their philosophies constantly clash—he wants to cut the problem with one clean stroke, while she wants to explore the emotional undercurrents. Sparks fly as they reluctantly form a “therapist-lawyer” partnership. In the process of helping others sort out their feelings, they unexpectedly find their own love story unfolding.

The hard works during scroching summer of 2024. It's such a pity this drama turned out like this. The storyline got so much potential with WZQ & LYX acting abilities.

When I read the whole novel I did imagine their faces and made me too excited while waiting for the drama broadcast. Keep reassure myself by saying "It's going to be better" for each episodes lol. This is the most exhausting cdrama I ever watched because I slightly have high hope they would follow the novel's storyline or make it more better.

And when I discovered a lot of main CP scenes that I looking forward to watch got EDITED OUT really had me too much heartbroken. I am okay if they filled it with nessesary plot but what they did was just ughhhh ( truly speechless )!🙄 We could have fluffy fun flirting between main CP tho!

But yeah, it's finally over! That's all matter 🥲But main leads had tough time during the airing period which made me infuriated !!! Both of them really deserve better!
