Personally, I feel like this show is really trying to highlight how much our original family shapes us.
Huo Qinglian was super fiery and impulsive, and her son turned out exactly the same. So whenever something happened, he'd just act on impulse without thinking, causing huge messes and dragging his whole family down with him. It's honestly the same in real life-being too impulsive can easily ruin everything.

cao xin is representing the audiences~ but then you see the friend just before the exam still fooling around at internet cafe. clearly so DUMB! 🙃
