Currently on episode 4 and I to answer your question, is because he is like a ball of sunshine for everyone. Like…
Oooooh yes yes yes, I get it. Like he was so special for everyone but actually it was just attactment. I understand the FL because even people you meet in a weekend trip you kind of miss them, and their friendship was more realistic. I guess the writers just made him so magnetic because it worked for the drama, also, in order to understand how hard he worked on himself. If you contrast the introverted and extroverted version of him, that's a HUGE change. I guess it made sense because of his nearly dead experience but yeah, his connections to people were not that realistic.
just started this today and I'm already on episode 4, I adore the characters, I feel that everyone is so well written, specially the 3 sisters and their grandma. I love them.
And oh, all the male characters are such a green flag!, the love interests of the 3 sisters are already lovely.
why is literally everyone in the drama so obsessed with the ML ? so unrealistic but whatever… i still enjoyed…
Currently on episode 4 and I to answer your question, is because he is like a ball of sunshine for everyone. Like in some parts he was talking about people who are like the sun and people who shine to someone else's darkness. I found out that Ran was that person for him, she helped him but she was never like the sun who shines for everyone, and after the accident the ML became the sun, the sun that shines for everyone. I've met people who are like that irl, and yes they are always with energy, always active, always kind and ready to help everyone. Those type of people make everyone fall in love with them. They don't treat you special, they are special to everyone. Personally I don't really like these people since I think they are fake but... it does happen, they exist. And I feel that the ML is just like that, but of course is just a facade because deep inside he is in pain.
I usually binge shows so quickly. With this one I’m only up to episode 6 and it’s taken me 3 weeks of on and…
It is good, the second half is them realizing their feelings and it is oh so sweet they are lovely, but you also get more of the 2nd male lead and things happened with the company.
THe chemistry between the leads is on point, they have no comparison with anyone else. The ML is a whole green forest, I love him And the FL is so cool and so kind, she has a personality, and that made me fall in love with her
I'm still confuse over kang and cho hyen relationship. They had affair or not because she told to min sik that…
I agree with what gramfer said, the writers left some details suggesting that did had sex, at least once in order for the professor to lose it all it was necessary. Hyeon Suk was so patient that he had stayed at least for 12 years by his side, even knowing that the professor didn't love her; so she needed to confirm that he had somehow betrayed her. And she needed that impulse to get to know that she was still a woman, desirable, keep in mind that she didn't shared a bed with her husband in years. So that arc of her having sex with another man was necessary for her character to be free. Also, some details are shown like Kang had some interest in her in some parts, as him asking things to her in her place, or him looking for her in her office. Also the wine and the food in her place was clearly showing that Hyeon Suk had a date meanwhile the professor was making a joke of himself in front of Eun Ju, poetic even, if you ask me. And we can also conclude that Kang had some form of mommy issues since he didn't had a mom, he found Eun Ju attractive in the beginning, so him being attracted towards older women is just cliche.
As I was really bored with kdramas lately, I got this masterpiece finally. Let me tell you my humble opinion: I've been watching kdramas for 16 years already and this one got me hooked from episode one. It didn't do it in a nice way, I felt uncomfortable from the beginning because of Lee Kang obsession towards his mother's friend. Then with his voyeurism and then with the story line about the supposed villain of the story. This touched the lines of my morals since I was uncomfortable but enjoying it.
"What a weird thing"... I was saying all the time.
The characters are so well written: this is the reason for me staying. In one hand we got the bitter professor who is still in love with an idea of the past (yes because he didn't love the girl Eun Ju, he loved the story and the idea he created about her) and he was still envious of the life of the successful writer, he couldn't forgive, he couldn't forget and he never valued the amazing woman he had by his side, she was not just intelligent, but also caring, beautiful and oh so noble, so so so patient... till the end, till Kang happened, it was necessary for her to open her eyes to get a better life, alone, by herself. On the other hand, we got the talented student who exaggerates things but you will never know if he was lying or not. Intriguing, annoying even, but you are just there waiting... to be continued. Then we got the older women who are creative, kind and still hot af in the eyes of Lee Kang, because yes! he likes older women, [accept it], it just makes sense due to his childhood and him losing his mom, he was looking for that in Eun Ju and then he got it with Hyeon Suk. (I know some people felt uncomfortable with this, but hey as you get older you don't stop being a woman and Hyeon Suk was the woman who cared for him even if it was just for one day at the orphanage, she even defended him in front of the professor when he was a child, Lee Kang never forgot). Not saying Kang fell in love with Hyeon Suk, of course not, it was just desire... and revenge. And that's the idea of the story: Kang is just as obsessive as the professor, the thing is that he is more talented, he has more patience, he is more creative, and can go further. So... excellent drama I just loved it! Great actresses and actors.
Loser professor gets too engrossed in his student’s writings and ruins his life in the process
Honestly? In the first episodes I couldn't' understand because I felt bad for the professor, then I felt bad for the student, then I hated the villain and then I felt bad for his wife, for the person that dies and even for the friend. However, when I got to the end I was completely in awe to get to know the truth, they made me feel uncomfortable and stupid for a long time but it was good!!!!! The story is about revenge, literally REVENGE. The professor gets his life destroyed but he deserves it and I would say: He even enjoys it.
People, this drama has only 2 episodes right now, give it a try. For me it is the type of silly drama that you watch when you don't want to think about anything and just enjoy it. The FL clearly has some issues, that's exactly the point of the drama and it is shown in the first episode. The ML is sweet and gentle, which I adore, just my type of guy. Give it a try, this is fun to watch.

they change domain pretty often but for me it has worked really well for years
Yoo Yeon Seok won my heart completely and I fell in love with Chae Soo Bin
Absolutely amazing!

Qi Min is indeed horrible.
