I very agree with you. I personally loved the show because it was imperfect and did not try to fit into the traditional Freytag's pyramid elements of a story, there were so many up and downs, but I liked that the main lesson was not to stay with a man just because he's rich and attractive but to learn to love yourself too. throughout entire show, Sam-soon always keep on talking badly about herself (e.g. call herself fat, want to change name, buy expensive makeups to change her look, change her hairstyle) but she never become happy with doing those things. she learned to love herself while also learning to accept someone's love that also have his own journey of introspection
