When I said 'American shows', I meant what has been popular over the years, like Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, AHS, etc. My point was that the things that everyone talks about being really great tend to be shows that depict graphic violence and sex, which absolutely floors me. Of course, I don't have it out for American televison. There are plenty of good shows, but foreign media, especially from more conservative countries, tends to cater to my tastes more than media from my homeland. I understand I wasn't very clear about that in the article, so thank you for adding your voice to the discussion.
