Just finished this one. I loved it till they killed the ML, I kept hoping he was alive and that he was hiding to find out the real person behind the poisoning. His son was born, his widow became the grand empress dowager, and their infant became the king, all this while did the FL not know her husband was not dead and was recuperating somewhere? I was heartbroken when she lost the ML, but his coming back after almost 5 years seemed like an afterthought. They should rather have shown her to be aware of his whereabouts, and brought him back to take the throne. With his son already sitting on the throne, what would be the status of his parents? Another thing that seemed wrong was the attitude of Prince Xin. He was shown to improve his relationship with the ML, saw how much in love the main couple were, but forgot all propriety and lunged for the FL as soon as the ML died. His climax was quite disappointing as well. The drama was very enjoyable otherwise, but the rational viewers would find these few things hard to digest.
