it is a huge speculation….and a totally wild one, but maybe she is the daughter of Inspector General Sato’s wife. She and the ML have the same pendants, two halves of a heart, they might have received them from the same woman, who might be FL’s real mom and ML’s adoptive one.

She is clearly attracted to the ML, and he is clearly avoiding getting emotionally involved. Maybe he thinks he can sleep with her once and move on. She is not comfortable committing to a physical relationship so she refuses his offer of sleeping as his idea of a date. The SML offers a date to her with the ML listening in, it is the same as she did with ML. Guess she accepts because according to her, that is the polite thing to do when someone asks you out, or maybe she wants to be sure of her own feelings. Or maybe, I am over-analysing the situation. All said and done, the next seven days are going to be so long!!

True that! As of Episode 21, I am totally shipping them. They’d make a perfect match in the current circumstances, with their families harmoniously co-existing. After all that our FL has suffered so far, she deserves an easy life where her husband loves and respects her and her in-laws are kind. But then I look at the ML, who she was destined to be with at the beginning of the show, and it is evident he is smitten with her.

We see JinQi smitten with Lanxian, strategising to pursue her when in those times, it was very easy for master of a household to have a relationship with a maid, and people would never hold it against him. But we see our ML genuinely fond of this woman, who is of significantly lower status. I have a feeling he knows about her identity. From the very first time that he has laid eyes on her, we see him looking at her differently than how he sees other maids. I wouldn’t be surprised if he orchestrated bringing her into his household even. If someone has read the web novel, can you answer this?

Yes he hid important things from her as well. I don’t want to spoil the show for you, but you’ll discover that the ML was with FL not because he loved her, but because she fit the role of his partner well and being from a poor family, she was easy to manipulate. I have watched till ep 23, so if you need proper spoilers, let me know.

The ML knew all along that she had lied about her parents and family background, and he reveals to her that he always knew, the FL keeps trying to tell him but he doesn’t allow her. Their relationship crumbles because both of them have been dishonest in the relationship.

I am on episode 6 and they’ve just got married with the love rival already making a move on the ML. Anybody knows what episode the divorce happens in? I am aware Xu Yan would leave Haoming from the description of the drama, and I am aware she has married him under false pretences, but I do hope our pretty FL doesnt suffer much before the divorce.

Well I can safely say I’d not be happy even with 16 episodes!! one thing that happened good in episode 9 was that the King himself pointed out the ridiculousness of the judging system for the competition, as so many of us had pointed out, and it was good that the Joseon side won, but when the grand dowager empress came and insulted the envoy, I thought to myself…..what was the point of the last three episodes if the Ming envoy would hastily leave with his tail between his legs! We can all see the King is falling deeper for Ji Young with each episode, but she knows she needs to go back to her own time, and I guess we will see her return to her times tomorrow, I just wish we can also see him following her to the future and them having a happy ending away from the politics and annoying consorts.

I’m excited for this week’s episodes!!

Amen to her going crazy! So far she has been a wuss willian! She seems to know everything going on between the king and his chef, but she has done nothing noteworthy so far!
