I bought it! Wanted to support the team who worked so hard in creating the drama, boost its popularity and I can't torture myself like that hahah

Oh man... the angst and heartbreak is real for the upcoming set of trailers. Hoping that we get a solid 4 episodes (fingers crossed from ep 53 onward) of reunion post 5 year separation though!

Yeah... its going to be an emotionally rough ride for us all! Hopefully the drama will stick to the book and won't dwell too much on the 5 years separation so we get enough episodes of the reunion etc

Actually I think with the love and hate thing that LBY and CSS are very similar. Once they've made up their mind, it's all or nothing! He definitely didn't plan on falling in love, his entire survival and life has revolved around avenging his family. As for CSS, you can see that once she opens her heart and accepts him, it's like the flood gates opening completely. In fact, he says so himself - he likes that she dares to love and hate!

Just want to write an appreciation post for how the author has created very believable characters! I think we are so used to seeing perfectly written characters with no flaws and I think that is also the reason some viewers dislike our leads - because they don't conform to the "drama norm". Whilst CSS is kind at heart, she has shown she can still be childish and petulant, she can be stubborn and do things on a whim, she isn't one to be bullied and will plot revenge, she's not typically "IQ" smart either. There are a lot of sides to her character. LBY is truly a morally grey character, I appreciate that the drama has stayed true to the novel and hasn't "softened" him too much. He is driven by vengeance and we know he will stop at nothing to achieve what he wants, he is manipulative and has eyes on everything and everyone! It's refreshing to see flawed and real characters!

Yep, I'm a "one drama" girl right now. Can't seem to get into anything else, I find myself comparing them and then getting disappointed so in between I just stalk y'all on here and twitter hahaha

Go into a hole and die. And rewatch it and compare it to everything else and be sad that it'll be extremely hard to top this masterpiece

In Asian custom mandarin ducks are associated marital happiness / couples etc. It is said they mate for life so it's very sweet of SS to do this for LBY. However, what general wears mandarin ducks or as he himself thought "chicken feathers" out to battle?? Hahaha. Don't get me started on the "rat" she embroidered.... 😂😂

If only we could create a 'watch room' and watch the drama together, we'd all be like this hahahhaha

We're all going to get withdrawals SO bad once this drama is over. We can only hope that with the explosive popularity of the drama that they will get ads together in the very least?? Another drama would be absolutely amazing but I'd rather wait for them to reunite in another drama where there is a great plot, director etc.

I'm confident that the drama will follow the book and give us a HE. Can you imagine the riots that would happen if it wasn't a HE?! 😂

So much foreshadowing in this, my heart just broke for Shao Shang. It's taken a lot of growth and courage for her to finally put her defences down and let someone in
