I have the same theory as you, I think they met in Seoul before, maybe he saw her from afar but never got the chance to talk. I think he knew she was Mirae from the very beginning bc never once has he called her "Miji" bc that isn't her name to begin with. And when he met "Mirae" (Miji) even before the dinner he called her Ms.Seoul and only ever refers to her as such so he def knew before then. The dinner just confirms that they switched. I really do hope they reveal how he knows, but since they're not the main couple it prob won't get focused 😭😭 And Mirae is too polite to ask how he knew, like girl you prob don't care but WE DO!! 😭

For those saying Mirae & Sejin has "no chemistry" there's been hints throughout the drama that they'd be a thing for a while, it didn't come out of no where. People just didn't bother to notice bc they're not as obvious as Miji & Hosu, the hints were subtle but they were there.
Mirae only ever smiled when she was with Sejin, like when he bought himself boots after seeing her wear them and more recently with the text inviting her to the scone party. She also went out of her way to teach him how to drive the manual truck which he was also surprised by. Then asked Gyeong Gu if Sejin hired any new after she quit. She's clearly developing feelings for him but she's probably not ready for a relationship or else why would she go to him during a typhoon.
People making it weird by saying him confessing to her during a storm is "creepy". First she was the one that went to him, second when he realized they were stuck for the night the first thing he asked her was if she called home. Sejin cares for her safety before his own and showed that he respects her boundaries like when she quit, he only wanted to know why and when he got his answer he backed off, he didn't begged her to stay, he didn't call or text her to come back afterwards. The fact she even came back confused him, he even acknowledge there'll be more rumors now that they're staying the night together. So when she said there's no reason to like the rumors Sejin saw an opportunity and confess.
Their story is obviously going to be a slow burn, which is fine but for people to say they have "no chemistry" they're obviously watching with their eyes closed bc it's been building up to this. Ppl be saying they care about the twins story and not the romance yet skips Mirae's parts bc it's "boring" compared to Miji & Hosu... Well at that point just admit you're watching for the romance, like it's ok to change your opinion. You don't have to like the 2nd couple, but they're a thing whether you like it or not 🤷🏻♀️
