i'm so pleasantly surprised by jo eun's character! i'm still super iffy on this new actress for…
I believe they are giving new layers to the character (not that Ji Woo is unintentionally changing the way Eun Jae should be). The script tells us so, we see the girls saying Eun Jae is different, she's changed, they can hardly recognize her, Ji Won even says it's not funny bickering with her anymore.
I don't want to make a disservice of Park Hye Soo's version of her, I'd rather think they are both different versions of the same character.
It actually feels more respecful this way, instead of making Ji Woo copy and paste everything PHS has given to the character, or even worse, completely erasing all PHS gave for her. Instead, I feel like you can chose which one resonates with you more, but at the end, they are still different versions of the same character.

I'm still in the middle of episode 4 but I had to stop here to point out a few things: - Ji Woo's version…
Right!? I like to think they are actually giving Ji Woo a lot of creative freedom to give the character new nuances and quirks. I still like Park Hye Soo's version of Eun Jae but from an acting POV she was the most "stiff" from all of the other actressess. The character back in season 1 was very heavy and uncomfortable whilist now with Ji Woo, it feels much more lightweight, organic and comic.
And yeah her scenes with Jo Eun always tend to be hilarious rolf. They have chemistry haha!!!
This is like an alternate 4D with a few screws loose version of Eun Jae lol.

Oh, one more thing: The fact that the characters still talk about Kang Yi Na makes my heart melt. Just because the actress isn't there anymore, it doesn't mean the character ceased to exist and that they aren't still friends <3 <3 <3 Way to go writing team, well done you are doing amazing sweetie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Hello, My Twenties! Season 2 Sep 10, 2017
I'm still in the middle of episode 4 but I had to stop here to point out a few things:

- Ji Woo's version of Eun Jae is killing me, the way she looks/acts/walks and her "determined" face is PRICELESS, it's almost a pscychotic look I can't help but laugh my a** off. I really wanna see her in a comedy drama/movie in the future.

- I'm really glad they are giving Han Seung Yeon's Ye Eun more depth. The scenes where they show how everything that happened back in season 1 still affects her are a bit cheesy at times, but it's never Seung Yeon's fault, I blame it on the editing. I also like how her wardrobe changed. They are taking this storyline serious and they are giving the character time to get back together. Ye Eun was never my favorite, but character wise she has so much potential, and we can easily see how much she has grown up ever since the first time we met her.

- Yoon Sunbae, I NEED MORE SCENES OF HER DANCING AND SINGING OMG I DIDN'T THINK I COULD LOVE HER MORE BUT AFTER THOSE 3 SECONDS IN FRONT OF THE GIRLS I DID I DO LOVE HER MORE.

- Can we all just accept Ji Won as the most ~chillout no fu*ks given~ character of all dramaland?! She talks about sex, she talks about wanting to have sex, she talks about being a virgin, she talks about watching porn, about showing up at parties because you shouldn't stop living your life just because your ex is going to be there, and not even ONCE she's ashamed of that. I just want to hug the people who write her dialogues. Protect this girl at all costs.

- I have no idea how Jo Eun's storyline will go from now on but I reeeeeeally want her friend to be in love with her, and that they'd go deeper into that. We still don't know much about her, and I'm happy they aren't forcing anything down on us. I don't want them to rush it, I'm enjoying getting to know her little by little <3!!!!!!

On Hello, My Twenties! Season 2 Sep 3, 2017
I just finished the first two episodes and all of my concerns are gone. Age of Youth is one of my all time favorite korean dramas and I got really attached to all of the girls from seasoon one, especially Kang Yina. I was really happy we had one last hurrah before she left the dorm. The ending felt a bit rushed and the first episode was a little too non sense at times but it didn't bother me much, I was just happy so to see them back together again <3 Ji Woo is doing just fine in Eun Jae's shoes, she looks and acts very mature, I was surprised to learn she's only 19 y/o.
I saw some people were upset about the girls reactions towards Jo Eun's tomboy visuals, and I was really worried, I thought it was going to be a train wreck and that it'd be painful to watch but once again I was surprised. Trying to see from a different perspective, it's very common to find people who are "good" being ignorant and/or intolerant towards something they haven't had the chance to learn more about. I was a bit uspet with Ye Eun's actions more specifically but Eun Jae's inner thoughts made everything understandable. You might feel like you are a good person, but sometimes you're not, not because you're a bad person, but simply because there are still things for you to learn, in this case, someone elses sexuality, it might be different than yours and that's just fine. It made sense to have Yoon Sunbae and Ji Woon to be ok with it. They are more matured than the other two, they know more about different subjects than Eun Jae and Ye Eun. Both of them are still very young and we are watching them bloom ever since season 1. But the fact that people were upset by this made me very emotional lol. You see? The audience (more specifically the younger generations) are waking up and caring more about social issues. I don't expect them to go any deeper into this kind of storyline but it would be groud breaking if they did. Anyway, if you reading this were concerned about how they would deal with lgbtq+ issues, don't worry too much. It was organic, and much like in real life. It's crazy how with only 2 episodes they already touched on a wide range of real life situations.
To be intolerent doesn't mean you have to act with hatred by your side, we are conditioned to think in certain ways, and you'll only start making a difference once you acknowledge it and start acting differently, voicing what's wrong and standing up for equality. I have high hopes for this.
Oh one more thing, I LOVE the fact that they actually referred to Eun Jae's being like "a different person" a few times lolololol.

Is the romance between the leads good,or nahhhh
I agree with @sickofme, too soon. But both of the actors are ok. If the script doesn't ruin it, they will probably have chemistry.

Title The Bride of Habaek Spoiler
It's really hard to judge with only one episode, but I don't think it was that bad. My biggest problem so far is Ha Baek going on a quest to make Yoon So Ah believe him. We have seen this a zillion times before and it's hella frustrating to imagine we'll have to go throught this for a few episodes until the story finally starts to unfold. Everything else were minor things, like when Yoon So Ah had exactly what they needed inside her trunk, too convenient and it would have been funnier if that wasn't the case, like if they had to think of something else to carry the gas. Or when Yoon So Ah had to drive so far away to resolve things about her land, I get that they needed her to be there at the same time as Hae Bak and his servant but come on, you don't have too think too hard to come up with a better solution. It was weird it felt off. Yoon So Ah's assistent was annoying, I hate characters who complain and scream all the freaking time. Other than that, the pacing was ok, not a one of a kind drama SO FAR... Nam Joo Hyuk is doing a good job as the Water God, but I kept thinking it would be more interesting if he had a few quirks, he's from a different realm, a soon to be king and emperor, it could be funnier but well... fine, it's ok, hopefully it won't be too cliche. I'm excited to see Krystal!!!!!!!!!!!!! She said she worked hard on ways to talk and walk like a goddess, and that's what I'm talking about, they are gods, it's so much more interesting if they are weird, not only the usual "not knowing what human things are (cellphone) and talking in funny ways", but acting differently from humans as well.

This one deserves an award and I'm hoping for season 2!
I think part of the reason Age of Youth is so good is because of the shortened number of episodes. Although I'd love a special in a few years about what happened to each of them, it's perfect as it is for me.

He can pull off long hair like no other. He'd look so fine playing an elf!!! He already have cute ears, just need to make them a little more pointy and boom, no elf from Tolkien's universe is more alluring than him.

It would have been better if they started the romance subtly. You know, he is my brother but I feel something…
I feel you. I'm also not a fan of incest stories myself but if that's how they want to bring them closer to each other, it'd have been better to do it slowly. It was rushed the way they made Ah Ro be questioning her feelings like that so soon. They should have made her believe from the beginning there was something fishy going on, and stick to that. She wasn't buying it at first but got over it really quick, she has since then accepetd Sun Woo as her brother and is already having weird feelings for him. It does feel kind of forced the way they are pairing them up. We knew there would be a love triangle but forcing her to have that connection with both of them is not the subtlest way.

Yeo Wool Rang is a scene stealer, I laugh way too much with his sassiness. Whenever the boys are fighting he sits back, smiles and have a nice time watching them bleed lol. Part of me wishes this drama would stick to comedy instead of drama and romance. I fear it'll take the same route as Love in the Moonlight at some point. It started off really funny, suddenly got serious and then more of the same.

I still think they waste too much time on recaps. Some scenes feels totally out of place because of that. It sucks…
I see where you're coming from and I think you have a fair point. Completely agree on the binge watching aspect. When you watch 2 or more episodes on a roll (like I do) it becomes really tiresome. However, at the beginning of each episode they do the 'previously' thing and it's long enough for not having to do it over and over again during the episode.
They could at least play with the timelines and stretch these scenes, instead of showing the same thing, go further/deeper on them.
I love Kim So Hyun and I'm always happy to see her, but the historical scenes are weird. I'm still waiting to see what happened after that ship scene when the kid fell into the ocean lol.

I still think they waste too much time on recaps. Some scenes feels totally out of place because of that. It sucks because it's important for a show to have it's own pacing but they keep killing it with all these completely unnecessary throwbacks every 10 minutes. I really need to have a talk with the editing team.
Other than that I'm enjoying it. I need more of its mythology tho. I loved the bus stop scene with the Grim Reapers, I love whenever the Goddess of Birth shows up, and it'd be nice to see more of what being a Goblin really means, so far I'm in the dark, I don't understand anything about his flashback scenes. I get that answers will come in time, I'm not really in a rush, what worries me is that they show us plenty of incomplete scenes that are abruptly cut and never go back on them again.

I feel bad for Yoo In na. Even if she comes for a lesser screen space, shouldn't she be doing something else…
I wrote it before I had watched episode 7, until then I wasn't so sure about the connection. But you're right.

I feel the same way. I mean, her character is quirky and full of mysteries and the fact that she only stays at the restaurant with no clients really intrigues me, I don't know why exactly but she reminds me of the american show Pushing Daisies, like she could be a character in that universe lol. I'm sure there's more behind all of that, she's not telling/showing us something and they could play more with that. Sunny seems to have a unusual connection with the Grim Reaper and they keep teasing us but I don't think its enough, I need more. I know it's not something k-dramas usually do but an episode played by their point of view would fit well here. I love when there's attention to details and quirkiness, I like the oddness both Sunny and Dong Wook characters bring to the drama. She's doing great even with little time on screen tho.

So here's the thing, I like both PSJ and PHS, PSJ will always have a special place in my heart but Go Ara looks soo good with PHS I can't help but root for them, at least for now. Even tho romance is not playing a big part in the story yet.
The highlight for me is the moment Ahn Ji Gong called for The Queen at the end of episode 3, by her facial expression I KNEW IT, I SWEAR I CALLED IT. She didn't have to do anything, she delivered just with her eyes. Kim Jee Soo destroyed everyone on this episode with her acting skills. I'm amazed.
