Yeah, It saddens me but I had to drop it too. I tried for 3 episodes and it's not my cup of tea. I was not expecting something serious or deep, but I also wasn't expecting it to be so superficial. Jo Jin Woong character is SO SO SO SO SO SO ANNOYING and rude, I can't stand to watch a single scene with him. Beyond disrespectful. Cha Joon and Turtle are also not likeable characters. Yeong Bin is surprisingly okay I guess? Given that main characters are usually the worst. I'm sad because I really thought it'd be good, I was so excited for Kang Joon, Amber and Sohee but I'm not gonna force myself to watch something I don't like while hoping it'll get good at some point. It's impossible for me to connect with these characters, rude rich misogynist men will probably like this drama. I'm all in for no ordinary k drama but this is just bad, plain and rude.
What a nice turn of events huh. After episode 11 I declare my hatred towards every single character on this show…
I don't hate him right now I guess... lol I wrote that the moment I finished the episode and I was hurt. But my rage has calmed down since then, still bitter though kk. Same for me about Wook. That's why it made me so angry, cause I really liked the character. I liked character so much and now I hate hate hate him, props to Ha Neul, killing it.
What a nice turn of events huh. After episode 11 I declare my hatred towards every single character on this show besides Hae Soo and Wang So. If all of the princes are really destined to be killed by So's hands, I'll gladly help him slice everyone's throat. Wang Wook, I understand you had something to protect, but I'll never forget this. I was rooting for you.
"Be careful of everything. You can't trust anyone. Every moment of every day, and with every step you take you need to be careful as if you're walking on thin ice. You should not live like me." This will be on my mind for the whole week, I had hoped we wouldn't have to see Lady Oh's final moments but they actually showed us. I'm so heartbroken and so pissed I don't even know If I'll still keep on watching this.
When you reach stardom you'll have to deal with hate, no matter what you do, you won't please everyone. I don't worry about IU's haters, she always had them. Whether she releases an album or is a part of a drama, they are there. And I don't mind. She's a great musician and so far had no problem as an actress. I believe you only get better with time, you might have talent, but that means nothing when you have no experience. She's getting there. I agree she has privileges, but she's not a main actress on this drama just because of her name. If they wanted someone huge there are plenty great actresses out there. They chose IU because they saw something on her that fits the character. I have no worries about IU's acting skills. As for Baekhyun, I'm not familiar with him as an idol, but he's not unconfortable at all while on screen. The hate is similar to IU's situation, he's famous as an idol and has his privileges too, but then again, I don't believe they'd give him a role If they thought he couldn't keep up.
And c'mon, he is the comic relief, what were you expecting from his character really? He's doing just fine. There are a lot of prejudices on idols turned actors and I feel like we hate too much. Sometimes it's really bad, sometimes it's the script, sometimes it's the characters, sometimes is the directors, but sometimes it's us. Give them a chance. And if you still don't like their work, that's ok. But there's no need to hate, If you don't like/can't stand them, then don't watch.
And I remember Kang Ha Neul from Angel's Eyes and oh boy he has matured lol.
It's over. I feel like I just lost a friend. But not for any troubled reason, it's more like life happened and we went our separate ways, it's bittersweet. I need to write something more elaborated later on but for now... at the beginning I thought this was going to be my drama of the year, and it's probably my all time favorite. To be honest I don't want a second season. But I'd like to see in a few years a five hour special, one hour dedicated to each of them. Something like what Skins did. Maybe they won't be friends forever, life happens, but it'd be heartwarming to see them reuniting years later so we could get a glimpse on what they have been up to.
I usually think dramas soundtracks are really bad, sometimes not needed or I don't even notice it, it doesn't complement to the story or the drama itself. But I love love love everything they play on this one. Ok, done ventilating about how much I love everything.
I'm so glad to see how they showed Yoon Jin's storyline the whole time from her point of view. I was afraid it'd end abruptly and we'd get an easy way out, or that somone (Jae Wan) would come to the rescue. Sure we got some bullying from her coworkers and a clueless advice from Jae Wan, but this whole thing is SO messed up and they were not afraid to fully embrace the storyline. How many women have to go through this on daily basis?! Sometimes I wonder if most men are just dumb or pure evil, because they really don't think of the consequences nor do they think at all. It's all about them. If they make an advance on you, at work, and he's your superior, you're either screwed or screwed. I get Jae Wan wants what he thinks its best for Yoon Jin but can we talk about this? Like, REALLY talk about this?! Do you think it's right she should just quit? Sure, she can find another job. And if this happens again?! Well, move on to the next. And so on. Let the men be in control and in charge. I think they touched on this subject so well. I have heard stories from many women who had to go through this kind of situation and we don't talk about this as much as we should. I loved how Yoon Jin stood up for herself when her coworker was giving her a hard time. I was not expecting that. She is SO strong and has endured SO much, and sometimes you need to react. You can't just go on living like that, you put everyone else above yourself, and what you do or don't it's decided only after everyone sate their needs.
Also, I'm happy Ye Eun finally got rid of her abusive boyfriend. This is also not an easy situation. You can get used to this, and in her defense, she really loved him, or the image she had of him. It was something she could always go back to. Even when things got rough or when he mistreated her, she loved the guy who was there for her sometimes. When you're out it's easy to say "Just break up with him", but like Ji Won wise words, you can only say something about someone's way of living when you truly knows the whole story, everyone has their own circumstances to deal with. And until you know the circumstances they're in, you can't tell people how to live their lives. We all have something others can't understand, but we can't help it.
I just love this drama so freaking much. It's gentle and touch on things that are important and that we need to talk about. I want to meet to writers to say a huge thank you.
Episode 5 OMG I think I laughed during the whole episode, funniest one so far \(T∇T)/ Ji Won and her phallus, Eu Jae runny nose scene lol! It was an hour long but it went by SO fast this is too good too good TOO GOOD!!!!!!!
Just finished ep 8 and we need to talk about Kim Sohyun. She has everything to be one of the strongest actresses in the future of dramaland. And she's only 17 years old. She doesn't have to say anything to make me believe her. Besides her being extremely freaking cute as Hyunji, in some scenes she doesn't even have a line, she's just there goofing around, not interacting with any other character besides Bom Pal. And it works so well. The chemistry betweenn these two is out of this world. And I'm not even talking about love-romantic-chemistry, ofc it's also there but they are just great together. You can tell when they (actors/idols/etc) are enjoying and having fun. When you care this much for a character like I do for Hyunji it's not just because is well written, it also means the actor is giving their all.
And this also proves you don't need a deep complex character or story to show your skills.
Just you wait, Kim Sohyun will be HUGE in a few years.
I can't believe Ryu Hwa Young is only 23 years old. She portrays her character so well I thought she was 27+. Seung Yeon is the most childlike character but she's the oldest actress after Han Yeri. I really hope this get all of them recognition.
Okay I have to say I love this drama, I love how the production team wasn't afraid to talk about topics which…
Yes, and it made sense for Eun Jae to be the first to have a centric episode. She was the new girl, like us she didn't know the others, it's a way to start telling all of their stories. And about Eun Jae, she's not the type to talk much and I really love that. It's not that she doenst' get air time, she's always there, she's just being herself, quiet and reserved.
waaa what a charming drama, Eun Jae suffering from anxiety, the scenes on the bus, that was so accurate I can't tell you how many times someone's bag hit me before. And like she did at the end of the 1st episode, I do try to understand everyone and not get mad but at that time it really seems like people are clueless. The pen she lent, another common thing that was well portrayed. It's not something that's expensive, but it belongs to you. No matter how cheap was it or if was a gift, it's yours and it always bugs me when someone wants to borrow something from me. I just know they will not be careful with it. Antoher thing that I thought was really smart, the library scene. Man, how many times someone has bailed on me while I had to clean up for them. And to them that was nothing, but to me it was something. Ye Eun might not think it was that big of a deal, but to someone who's still adjusting, who's not close to anyone yet and is dealing with anxiety, to have to go through that kind of situation, ugh, I felt for her. And man I love how they made everyone "look mean" at the start. Because that's how it really is sometimes, until you get to know the person and realise they are struggling too. We are all struggling. And nice to make her stand up for herself at the 1st episode. I feel encouraged now actually. It was nice to watch the episode as Eun Jae point of view but I'm glad they showed how the other girls were also holding stuff in. Well, for a single episode I'm impressed, invested and I can relate. I can't wait to get to know these girls better!!!! This drama with only a single episode has made more progress and character developtment than dramas with 15+ episodes, that end without making me feel there was a significant growth. Well, so far this has potential to be my drama of the year.
Even though I'm not impressed and kind of relieved it ended, this drama was different for me because the male lead was my favorite part of it. Ryu Joon Yeol is a natural. And it's rare for me to like male leads. Even rarer to like them more than the female lead. And I give props to the actor. This drama was nothing new and and sort of plain but he did an amazing job with what he was given.
Gary and Amy were also a nice part of it. But after all of the effort he put into finding his father, did they really think it was okay to give the storyline this crappy conclusion? The character deserved more development. So did Amy.
Everything about Bora's situation made no sense for me, maybe If they explained more what was going on with her I wouldn't mind it but after she "woke up" I gave up understanding.
Some lines and logic the characters used were also lame, like when Suho came from his trip early and that guy from the company made a comment saying something like ~oh, you came early, that's so like someones who's secretly dating~ lolololol. Ok.
But overall this drama was ok, the mother was not an evil bitc* and that's huge lol.
I really thought we would find out who's Suho's real father is but oh well, maybe it's was just "my imagination" like Ryang Ha said.
Unpopular opinion and I'm disappointed because I love this actress but I couldn't get into this drama. The outfits…
Same for me about Hwang Jung Eum. I like the actress but this time around I did not like her character. It's not that I hate Bo Nui, I just don't like her. I like supernatural dramas, I have seen superstitious characters and they were funny, I love romcoms and as I said, I like Hwang Jung Eum but to me Bo Nui had none of what I mentioned, she was just straight up stupid, I lost count of how many times I rolled my eyes at her . At some point towards the end I had lost my patience with her character too.
This is so freakin cute too cute cute cute cute Suho is my favorite male lead in a loooooong time, Ryu Joon Yeol is doing such a great job I hope he gets some love after this.
We started with a completely nuts superstitious Shim Bo Ni seeking you know what and look where we at by the end of episode 12. I'm surprised that we are not stuck, that the drama is actually moving forward, and I hope it doens't stop til its over.
