as someone said it’s up to you to judge but i have read from autistic people that it’s not necessarily a bad rep but not too relatable in terms of hyper-intelligence or a basically eidetic memory. for me, not specifically this drama, but dramas with autistic people in general seem to have traits like hyper-intelligence to ‘compensate’ for the lack of social skills which feels a bit off sometimes for me.

there is light romance between her an junho so far, i think it starts in ep 2 (more so him admiring her and her being oblivious lol)

generally agree but with this one, it would be interesting (imo) to depict young woo navigating a romantic relationship, and how (assuming jun ho is neurotypical) a neurotypical person should approach such a relationship, things they should consider etc. it's definitely strong enough on its own to not need romance but i think it could be done refreshingly maybe ? either way i'm not too worried since i don't think it will be too overbearing as a plot point considering it's not even tagged as a romance

i think it’s because both hyun bin and won bin are attractive so one might associate attractiveness with those names but ironically he wasn’t particularly attractive so that’s where the likeness ended

i see on both sides. i think that sometimes the media portrayal of autism requires the autistic person to ‘compensate’ for their lack of social skill with hyper intelligence, an eidetic memory or something along those lines, so i am glad that they featured someone on virtually the opposite end of the spectrum, without making him lose his humanity.

right ... like i'm not saying there was no depth to yurim and ji woong's relationship but jiwoong's initial interest in her was at least 80% superficial- to me it just seemed like those maximum 2 year high school relationships that end when there's an obstacle- i suppose maybe they tried to subvert that view but it makes less sense to me. if they wanted a 'realistic' ending then make it... realistic? it being sad or bittersweet doesn't make it unsatisfying but the ambiguity does. if they ended like this, i'd have preferred that they just had a platonic friendship all along. i don't get the point of the scenes of the present if they wren't going to tie it up, but i guess kim min chae was just a vehicle for the past storyline to be introduced + used to arouse speculation and excitement

yeah i get your frustration. the fact that it's all a dream makes it feel a little pointless, it just makes qian wei realise her feelings for lu xun and appreciate all the things he did for her which she overlooked the first time. i think they should have made it clearer that the dream section would be more slice-of-lifey than just romance and fluff. it seems that you understood enough from the dream section to just skip ahead- especially since the romance even in the dream only begins at episode 13.

sorry to hear you don't like it, and i hope your surgery goes well! if you don't mind my asking, what is it so far that you don't like? does it just feel a bit tedious? tbh if you've read the novel then i'd skip (because it follows it quite closely) but there are cute moments, maybe just watch those clips on youtube and then watch ep 23 onwards like you said.

it's really good but i'm struggling to watch because of how much ling xiao's family frustrate me... so manipulative, both the mother and grandmother :/ somebody please slightly spoil by telling me if there's a satisfying end to that plot or if they try to redeem their characters (because i don't think i care for their redemption arcs)

reality didn't change but her world view did, because the dream made her realise her love for him, and eventually, the reasoning behind his treatment of her being affectionate and not resentful. the dream is just mostly a rehashing of the past. the dream will be a catalyst in the start of their relationship:)

sad to see it's at 8.2 but at least it's not 8.1... if anyone who strictly only watches shows with 8.5+ above or something sees this, please give it a chance
