Is it better than the korean version? I've been trying to finish it but it's so boring I am so disappointed. Since…
It depends on what you like. I'm currently watching the Korean version and I think the Chinese version is better, but that might be because I'm not done with the Korean version.

Title True Beauty
in india it is common to judge by their looks wtf r u talking about
I'm sorry if this offends you but it is completely unfair to say Korean men are more handsome than Indian men. Like the saying goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There's no number that there's more handsome men in Korean, it's just your opinion that many others disagree with.

Haven't finished this drama yet, but just wanted to let you know that the Scarlet Heart Chinese ending is very sad as well, and there are multiple articles saying it is one of the saddest cdramas.

After 5 episodes, this is my verdict:1. Bad acting, especially by the main male lead, Jeremy Xu.2. Bad logic.3.…
Not done with the drama yet, but I'm at episode 30, and it's pretty serious. If you guys have watched Scarlet Heart you'll remember that the beginning was basically just comedy but the ending was the saddest one I've ever watched. I think that you should watch a few more because the mood changes to a pretty serious one.

Is this drama that bad?
Honestly, it's second only to Ruyi in my opinion. I think that this drama had AMAZING props (there was a scene with fire near the end and I had to rewatch it to see that it was fake) and also the chemistry for both ML x FL ships were solid. I used to hate the ending but now I think that the way they did it wasn't choppy, but just left a lot for the watchers to think about. About the casting, people could say that it was Yanxi 2.0, but for me it really wasn't. Hao Lan was WAY different from Yingluo, the plot wasn't based on harems, and the plot (at least for me) was amazing. But then again, I'm a fan of slower paced dramas, so I can't speak for everyone. Anyways, I really really really love the props (back at it again hehe) and if you pause to look at their clothes and hair you can see all sorts of nuances like how the loops in Hao Lan's hair changed from when she was Crown Princess to Queen to Queen Dowager as well as her headdresses. And the infrastructure was so simple and minimalist which was GREAT.

quick-witted FML?
Short answer: kinda

Long answer: For me, Hao Lan was about as quick-witted you could get in a very very very very very patriarchal society. I think it's because people compare her too much to Yingluo (who was funny and quick-witted but not really realistic, I mean, if this was ACTUALLY a qing dynasty palace she would have died in the first day from her quick tongue lol) anyways, I think that Hao Lan was a lot more realistic in that aspect and she was way better at knowing when to tread softly than some of the other characters (who I still love)

This is so funny. It's essentially the cast of yanxi palace. They have 80% of their cast in common! Is this a…
No it's not...I read somewhere that people think being in Yanxi was like a life sentence XD. The cast is kinda like a hit or miss for most people. You either love it or you hate it. For me, I honestly loved it because a) AMAZING ACTING (duh) and b) idk if this is just a weird and dorking habit of mine but whenever I see an actor/actress in a different drama, I imagine it's one of their past lives. So obviously for me this was interesting. Additionally I don't focus on cast too much unless their acting bothers me, and this one didn't.

Title Good Bye, My Princess Spoiler
Can we just talk about how similar this is to Untouchable Lovers?

1. Both of them had two love stories
2. Both of them forgot each other and fell in love again
3. There was a jealous concubine in the second love story that the male lead liked at first before he loved the female lead
4. Both of the female leads disliked the male leads at first and vice versa
5. Both of the female leads had this random guy wanting them to leave the male lead and go with him
6. Both of the first love stories happened in the female lead's country first, and the second love story happened in the male lead's country
7. Both of the female leads had this awesome and silly sidekick and then another more level headed, chill senior maid person
8. Both of the male leads were shitty to the female leads (at least in the beginning for UL)

Except for the fact that Goodbye my Princess had the most heartbreaking ending :(
