there is something...sad yet funny about the constant unhappy endings he gets. i feel like I cant root for his character ever because something sad is gonna happen to him

ive heard people hate his character (ive read spoilers so i understand why) but he..looks very handsome in this role which is a large reason I wanted to watch it.

yes, no miscommunication between, lets just watch them grow as a couple and as individuals.

I like the second couple a lot, I’m excited to see how that progresses. Anything can happen for 40 episodes at this point

I can see that, I kind of hope that is not it though lol I think mu chen seems too zealous and naive. Even dongnan told him to leave the company so who knows. He’s 100% being used by the company tho since they don’t have dongnan anymore. I like mu Chen so hopefully he doesn’t become a backstabbed in the end.

They are really pushing the enemies to lovers with them, which I think makes zero sense. She’s not gonna change her ways because of some dude. When dongnan is already changing as a person, he doesn’t need her. It’s gonna feel like a forced couple, while the second couple of already working. (I’m on episode 8)

i started this show for mainly mi re (mu chen) and..I'm surprised that the show..is not the worst. but its also 40 episodes so I feel like its going to drag. i do not like su qi (the actress is fine, so no hate to her), I just dislike the character. Dongnan I actually really like, and I also like the youth aspect of the drama. the 5 friend group is so nice, and I love their scenes.

and well I love mu chen as well. but he has so far..the worst outfits out of everyone. beyond horrid. its like they bought clothes for someone else, forgot to tailor it for him, and let a toddler make an ensemble. i audibly gagged at a couple of them.

honestly was thinking the same thing. the show does a thing where they zoom in on his face after he speaks to dongnan and..im always expecting his face to like drop in annoyance. and it hasnt yet (im on ep 8 right now). but i feel like it will at some point. but he also isnt a main character so im not sure if he will be the villian (so to speak, rather a pawn used by lightyear entertainment). like i feel like mu chen and dongnan, are actually stull friends. but mu chen is so niave either the company uses him OR the company manipulates the relationship between both of them and mu chen becomes the bad person in the end

i love rui chang and merxat so far in the show. im on episode 7. it is nice to see merxat outside of the historical dramas he tends to be in

this feels like school of rock, with like extra stuff added to it

I really want to watch this drama for Hanson Ying…is it worth it for him? This drama already feels eh for me, and just lackluster. And this plot seems odd.

Was reading spoilers since I just started today, and idk if I wanna finish it. But…what is up with Merxat dying all the time in his roles? Either he doesn’t get the girl or he dies.but on episode 7, I like the thought of SML and FL being together but knowing it’s not endgame makes it feel weird. Like knowing wen you won’t get that happiness with her just feels weird. Like I can’t support the writers decision to make date him and not…end up with him. And then rebound with ML. That being said, might only continue for SML. But his character arc sounds traumatic af. I thought this was a rom com with some political stuff on the side

That could be it too. I dont follow Lu Han so I frankly don’t know. I only learned about the drama since I’m a fan of the actor who is replacing him, but I realized most places did not have any updated information. I thought Weibo was confused lol

I saw something about a break from acting or like no longer acting? But I’m not 100% sure. They started to film yesterday, and most Weibo accounts reporting it say that Lu Han is no longer in the project.

super excited to see mi re act in a more serious role and actually have his own love interest. now lets hope no.1 she does not die and no.2 he does not die. he looks stunning in the trailer so I am ready for this air, I've been riding the high of yunxi when it comes to his looks in a historical drama.
