mi re's wig is the worst thing to happen in this drama. as well, the inconsistencies in his makeup is also horrid. one moment its his natural complexion the next he's extremely pale. i understand the character is supposed to be sick/poisoned but it just looks weird. like if u wanna show he's poisoned then..idk give him blue lips don't smear foundation on his lips all the time.

i dont think a drama needs a linear storyline to be interesting. it needs something that connects the characters, and that is the new truth. it is not about being scary and gory, but rather about the cult and the effects of this "existence of god". this show requires more than just watching it and not thinking critically about the message.
it was not the best kdrama i have watched, but i enjoyed it. it was only 6 episodes so I'm curious that so many people dropped it after one episode when it is an easy watch.

Mi Re (Yu Yi) did amazing in this show. Granted I only watched the episodes he was in, but I liked the tone of the other couples, but seeing that the ski resort is where a lot of tension was created it was weird to plop myself into that middle like that, but the episodes held their own and I needed little context. So I watched from 13-17 I believe. But yes, the Yu Yi and Zeng Li arc were cute and painful because I have been in that situation. It sucks for Yu Yi in the end. He tried, and in the end, he was the one hurt. You can see how much he loved her, and well still does. If he came back a little sooner, so much would have been different. I may be overthinking Yu Yi's storyline but since it took up a large part of the show I think it should be noted. And he was ethereal when he was on screen, so that was nice. It sucked that his involvement is what caused the girl he loved to realize she did not like him anymore and instead likes his best friend. And that must feel horrible.

why are his shows never subbed?

the start of the show feels so disjointed, that I assume it will be like this for the rest of the drama. the scenes with wei xuan he and qin yue seem so emotionally heavy. like yes they are villains but they...are interesting. it seems more based in reality and the emotions feel more raw. but the scenes with chu xia and xiao dong feel like so light and airy that is destroys the mood. it does not feel natural. it seems like a serious plot, and I think if it was not comedy it might land better. even the color grading of the two couples seem different. but I do ahem, appreictae the episode shirtless scene of wei xuan he. thank you for that directors.

i love watching him in roles that are not similar to his own personality because it really shows his range as an actor. i just do like the plot so far. it doesnt help that i do dislike romance shows but he tends to mainly do romance. i can just tell from the first episode he is going to be amazing, but i can tell i will dislike the character. but i think, if you dislike the character then the actor did a goof job.

Demon Girl and Legend of Yunxi are two really good dramas of his. I think he’s great in any role he does though. But those are second lead roles so he’s more present in the show

Okay. Now that the show is over is it worth it watching as a Merxat girl (the dude who plays Wei Xuan He). Forewarning I hate Romances and literally have only watched for him. I know costumes are amazing (suits) and he has a shirtless but I need to know if his role justifies me watching 24 episodes of it

I hope his portrayal as Wei Xuan He in Love Under the Full Moon helps directors and showrunners see how good he is at acting and he gets more main leads. Such good acting from him. He really immerses himself into his roles that even his body language and mannerisms change. I am hoping he gets a good role in the future.

That is a valid statement, we actually do not get enough of that.

Okay, I’m a Merxat girl. Is this show worth it for him? I was going to wait until all episodes are uploaded and then watch it .(I hate Romance dramas, so I’m planning on skipping the main CP if it doesn’t lend itself to the plot). I know he has a romance in the show from his poster and the clips I saw on Weibo.
I want to support him but I had to sit through Yunxi and Falling into ur smile for him, and it sucks skipping half the show because of the romance lol.

That’s my next Merxat drama to finish. I think I started all of his dramas and stopped because of a FL, but I continue For him lol. He really does need a good leading role I agree. I do believe he needs a new agent: hopefully with his new show airing Love Under the Full Moon be catches the eyes of someone and he can get some better roles

Honestly as a huge Merxat fan, he was amazing in the show. I personally think he carried scenes, and pivotal moments. You can do what I did which was skip some of the other scenes since the plot was bland. Since it was bland a lot of the info was repeated so it was weirdly not that important. I skipped All scenes between the ML and the FL because it was usually the same content over and over. As a Merxat fan I think it’s worth the watch since he got more popular after this drama.

i agree. i was watching it and then dropped because of the FL. my love for the second male lead could not overule that I could not stand her. lol i only decided to give the show an actual chance after there was rumors of this show being removed because of the case related to the main lead male. otherwise i would have dropped it. even tho its historical, it just reads immature and a very bleh plot. i skipped most of the scenes with the FL. is only worth it if u have an investment in an actor like i did

I feel like the show could ahve wrapped up with less episodes. i am on 42 right now and i am struggling. Qishao is the only reason i continue, and the politics. but the main cp has no chemistry for me, and i am so sick of musical montages with the main CP looking at each other. i know how it ends so I'm just waiting. I'm not a fan of JJY's acting as FL (hope she improved for her next drama with merxat) so i catch myself skipping or dozing off during them even tho they are important to the plot. i don't understand the main CP and at this point its not a romance, which I'm fine with. but if we are focusing more on politics, then i don't want anymore romance that just takes away all character development of our leads. i feel like qishao is the only one who actually grew from falling in love, because he become more human while qin is still wooden. now he's just over protective. ugh.

This was my first time ever actually watching a romance drama. Since I love my tense shows with action, drama, and so forth I expected all important characters to have some sort of development. But when I realized that only the main CPs were getting any sort of development it made the show fall flat. The ZGDX team you can tell is rich history and I would love more. I would Love a prequel with the ZGDX team before tong Yao, and even sicheng on the other team. The ZGDX team is extremely close and you can tell how gutted they were with Yu Ming retiring, so a non-romance prequel would be SUPER interesting to
watch. Just pure e-sports with the typical drama of living with friends and working together.
