facepalmed so hard after having watched the third episode. OYH had so much confidence and it was all gone in a few seconds LMAO
guess this is all done on purpose though, maybe Lee Ji Ah will have to clean up all of the mess whenever she has her entrance this season. my guess is that she'll show up at the time we think the story can't possibly go more downhill. that way our faith might be restored again
loving this season so far. do think that IF Soo ryun is really dead, her death was pretty underwhelming in a way. i still don't understand how someone who planned out everything perfectly, would fall for a simple phonecall like that when she knows that she's in danger everywhere she goes. I just don't feel like the phonecall she got would give her enough reason to go back to the penthouse where she knows she could potentially be killed.. that's why I was hoping she planned this "murder" as well and wasn't actually killed, however now that people say that lee ji ah will come back as a different character I'm starting to doubt this a little. my hopes is that she'll indeed come back as a "different" character this season, possibly the woman with the butterfly tattoo, and then shim soo ryun coming back in the third season for one last kick in the ass to JDT and CSJ. chances are high that this won't happen but it's not completely impossible since this show is all in for unpredictably. if she truly doesn't come back as SSR though, i hope that the new character she'll portray will be somewhat similar to her.
the actress Lee ji ah is in the cast for season 2 so we can suppose she is alive or she will interpret an other…
Agreed i miss it too :< The fact that Yoon Hee ruined it when she was the one saying she wanted to stay friends forever hurt too. Su Ryeon literally cared for Yoon Hee till the end but YH threw the friendship away in the brink of an eye.
As for Ro Na I'm honestly not sure, i wasn't that immersed in that part of the storyline

That's a possibility! The maid definitely plays a bigger role in this story. Honestly speaking though, it was indeed suspicious since the start. Su Ryeon knows she's not safe now and she decides to go to the penthouse alone? When she heard from the phone call that Dan Tae (and possibly the kids) are supposed to be there? I don't think the reason the maid gave her was good enough for her to randomly sprint over there when she knows her life is in danger. She definitely knew and came prepared. I think she realized she had no other choice other than to "die" in the hands of Dan Tae so everyone would believe she's truly gone. How she achieved this without truly dying though, we don't know yet. (At least i really hope she didnt die) She swore to Yoon Hee that she would get karma, and even though Su Ryeon has never thought "bad" about her like how she thought about the other people in the palace, she knows she had to make a sacrifice. In this case the sacrifice had to be Yoon Hee. I believe it was all part of her revenge plot. Even if she had no ill intention against Yoon Hee, she still believed she needed to pay back for what she did. By "dying" this way she gave Yoon Hee the karma she deserved, and she could freely continue with her revenge plot.

It is possible yeah. It's great that there's multiple possibilities so now I'm even more curious about what actually happened. She also could've worn something under her jacket that has dark red paint in it so it would seem like she got stabbed. Really hard to guess. I think we're up for a nice surprise
honestly, not really. it has a big cliffhanger which definitely leads to the second season. would consider it…
yeah understandable! if you do plan to watch eventually, I'd do it after the second season is fully aired. of course I'm not sure if that season will also get an open /cliffhanger ending but at least you can watch 33 episodes in the meantime before season 3 airs. if I'm honest i skipped through a lot of scenes because the murder mystery plot was the only one that really interested me throughout this drama. and i don't feel like I really missed out on anything by skipping some scenes. it was still addicting to watch though, maybe you'd like it as well. totally get it that it might not be your cup of tea if it's this long though, but yeah maybe you can try after the second season has been aired
I think Su Ryeon planned it beforehand. She’s been smart this whole time so I don’t think she’d just die…
Yeah exactly^^ She was prepared. I think she's using this so she can hide while trying to take down Dan Tae while they assume she's dead. The only way for the rest to believe she "died" was to really get stabbed by Dan Tae himself. A risky move though because this could've actually killed her. But it's also possible that she was wearing something underneath her jacket that let out red paint? There's a lot of possibilities actually hah.
did it have a definite ending? meaning can it stand on its own as an ending even if there's gonna be a second…
honestly, not really. it has a big cliffhanger which definitely leads to the second season. would consider it as an unsatisfying ending if there weren't 2 more seasons announced
I think Su Ryeon planned it beforehand. She’s been smart this whole time so I don’t think she’d just die like that. I think she teamed up with someone else; possibly the real mother to take down Dan Tae together. The real mother was only briefly mentioned but we can assume that Su Ryeon actually did search more about her. We know from this drama that whenever something seemed to be a small part or mention, it was actually more than that. I think Su Ryeon really did get stabbed though, but that when the medics came to receive her body, they switched it with something or someone else. That’s why we can only see her under a blanket when the medics take her away. We visibly can’t see if it’s her or not. There’s been no autopsy or anything, so I don’t think she’s really dead. She might have been in a private hospital (possibly in a coma) in the 6 month time skip while the real mother is going to show up, confusing everybody in the next season.
There’s been assumptions that the deceased person was the real mother, and while that would also be a plot twist, I think it would be too easy to guess. She could've posed as the "fake" body under the blanket though

Probably one of my favorite shows now. Loved the characters and even though the ending Ms Ha got didnt seem justified, it fit her character to accept that she lost at least. However I'm not really sure what to think of what happened after she got released. The old TOP members still welcoming her with open arms even when the whole chapter was basically closed and it was concluded that the old TOP was no more? Hmm..
Also Seok-Hee leaving to the US again wasn't necessary either, it was all put into the last 10 minutes and I still don't really get the reason as to why that happened. They could've made her confess to Yoon-Do after they got the ending they aimed for and it wouldve gotten the same amount of value, if not more.
All in all I really enjoyed this drama though. The characters were well fleshed out and the story kept me interested until the last second. Would definitely recommend watching this show
Yeah i also noticed that it's easier to predict the cases and culprits in this season. Also could easily predict…
Hopefully it'll still be interesting. I think the teams might start working together considering all of them seemed to have a plan. It would really suck if there won't be a third season anymore though, because then the most important plotline wouldn't even get solved in the end. Also yeah I agree on your statement about the ending. I read that the Director left MBC so who knows if it'll still continue

Yeah fair. I was glad the new prosecutor was in it. Also I agree on the ending. That guy just falling off the stage was all we got related to a "revenge" lol. I don't particulary like it when a show builds up only to be cut off at the end just for a possible third season. But I feel like this season was mostly focussed on Doctor K, so in that regard I didn't mind it too much because that was closed pretty well. Then they can focus on taking down the rest in the next season. I really hope there'll be a third season though..
