I was heartbroken after watching The Story of Pearl Girl but fell in love with the male lead. I decided to check…
This was way worse than Pearl Girl. In that drama you didn’t see him die. This drama his death was so violent and explicit. He chose to save dumb-dumb disciple Jiu and died in the process. He deserved better. I’d like to backhand Jiu like Ruyi did several times. lol.
I loved how ML and FL first met. She was fake crying and he told her to stop and that her acting is so bad. She loved that he was smart enough to see through her schemes. And she boldly declared him to be her future baby daddy because he’s tall and is good at martial arts. Lol. Later she told her disciple she picked the ML upon first sight.
And ML confided in Yi Shishan that when he had FL fighting beside him, for the first time, he felt someone had his back. Love them so much together. I won’t be able to get over this drama for a while. *Sigh
Super brutal ending! Ruyi said she was too lonely without Ning so decided to finalize her suicide mission.
Can’t believe the whole squad died…besides the princess and the official. I guess they were all reunited in death which was a happy ending? Not!
The ending with Princess Chu Yue and the kid made no sense. How did Ruyi and Ning have a kid if they died? He said he had a sister so they had two kids? Were these ghost kids? Kids in the afterlife? This part was super confusing. The ending was super rushed.
I loved Alen Fang’s acting and his character. I’m glad he transitioned to the main lead role in Les Belles. So well deserved.
SOO I just casually started this and was enjoying the heck out of it but then randomly found out it has a BAD…
Yes, he dies at the end but we don’t see it. He never gets the antidote and she travels the world until she’s old and gray (voice over). But the big hole is how did she know he was poisoned? We never got to see that part.
is anyone else struggling to watch this on Netflix? The cinematography is not very clear. The subtitles display…
I watched on my iPad and changed my iPad settings in Accessibility to a larger font. On my iPad I can speed it up Netflix, which I did when the drama got too draggy.
KTW, well I’d forgive him anything but the fact that he set up GHR as the killer because he wanted her to suffer, is messed up. He loved her and couldn’t stop loving her and hated himself and her for it. And he was obsessed with trying to make her love him and be a hero in her eyes. I think they should’ve divorced when she aborted their baby for her career. The fact that KTW could still be with her after that is just unrealistic. It really hurt him. I can see it from GHR’s point of view too. It’s her body, her career and she’s very ambitious. She is selfish and married KTW for connections and he was aware of that. But his poor soul couldn’t handle the reality of her fake affair. She should’ve just told KTW about Kevin Lee blackmailing her to clear up the misunderstanding. This drama was great but because of the ending, 9/10.
It was such a good drama but lost momentum after episode 14. It seems that they unnecessarily drew out the storyline with episodes 15 and 16. And was it really necessary to kill Eun tak? The Goblin is supposed to be lonely but dang, that's cold, killing off his bride like that. Free will, kiss my butt. Poor Eun Tak, didn't catch a break in that lifetime. Wonder if she has parents in the most current life. They might think Kim Shin is a Pervy pedo. Just saying. Lol!

It’s called acting!
