A very good Lakorn.... good story , good humor, good characters, good romance..... Loved her father and her servants, very amusing! .... Tik is good and Aff is better than usual .... the typical irregular logic in Lakorn plots is very, very, very minimal here..... so, it's very good !!!
I wanted to watch this to see what the fuss was about , b/c I loved the K-version.
The story is very similar in both , and it is obviously very appealing.
This version had a few things better than the K-version... Lots of Skinship and concentrated more on the Romance of the lead couple...... Which is the appeal of Lakorns !! ..... I also like the way they combined her prize trip, the honeymoon, the couple's publicity stunt and where the lead was exiled into one place, Korea.... it added continuity and depth to their romance..... and the comeback song is more romantic than the comeback film ..... Lakorns are good at Romance :)
But, the Acting and the Humor were CHILDISH! ....they reminded me of shows for young teenagers on Nickelodeon ! .... and her voice was sometimes very annoying !
--->>> The original, K-version, had much Better Acting, loads of Humor and loads of Memorable Moments ... and imo , that is it's main appeal (what K-dramas are known for) !! ....
This was a lot of fun... good story, likable characters, genuine humor , very good pace
.... Not too much filler ... some typical lakorn craziness, but not too annoying .... The relationship of the brothers is nice ...
I recommend it for: The Natural chemistry b/w the leads .... The fun antics of the lead couple that is always exciting to watch ..... I rated it a bit higher just for them.
Nadech and Yaya make a mundane story into something exciting!
I don't think I've ever seen any drama couple have more chemistry than Nadech & Yaya !!! ... It is difficult to believe they r not a couple IRL...
....and their characters r simply adorable and fun .... ... just love them <3<3<3
EDIT: my first experience w/ Nadech & Yaya (after part 1 of course) .... and I went in search of their other dramas together...... great chemistry from the start, on & off screen ....
This is a good Story... filled w/ very Interesting characters and ... good actors ..... lots of wonderful Romance .... plenty of Angst and suspense ... Beautiful Scenery shot on location in Japan ......and..... the two leading couples are very Adorable !!!
Except for "Psycho Aiko" as the token psycho obsessed female, and some typical Lakorn trappings .... mainly due to writing weaknesses.
Plot has a fresh/strange premise and very enjoyable !!! ... Lots of Fun & lovable characters and some Love-to-Hate…
My favorite is "Sawan Biang"... It is hands down the best Lakorn b/c
---- it is Well-Written w/ a concise script !! .... and Amazing acting !
---- All the characters are well developed , even supporting ones....u understand their motivation/psyche .... .... and everything makes sense...
---- WARNING: It's a rough slap/kiss .... If u get offended, don't watch!
Still, Ken manages to make Kawee Sympathetic and Vulnerable ... and the after-affects and healing process for both is very believable ....
Plot has a fresh/strange premise and very enjoyable !!! ... Lots of Fun & lovable characters and some Love-to-Hate…
"Rak Nee Hua Jai Rao".... I liked the beginning , BUT , what a Mess !! ... :( Ken barely had a chance to act , as most of the time , she is screaming or talking non-stop.. No character development at all ... and I found the humor silly, not funny.
Plot has a fresh/strange premise and very enjoyable !!! ... Lots of Fun & lovable characters and some Love-to-Hate…
"Nung Nai Sueng" is excellent and well worth it ... all the good parts of lakorns and none of the bad...plus , all the love/hate angst but none of the revenge ...
Plot has a fresh/strange premise and very enjoyable !!! ... Lots of Fun & lovable characters and some Love-to-Hate…
I hate when writers do that ... just to add some tension...but the reasoning did not make sense at all and her character suddenly changed... Just shorten the lakorn by a few episodes...it would have been perfect !
now that I have seen two more Lakorns w/ Janie , and some behind-the-scenes footage , she is one tough lady !! ...
---I like her best w/ Ken in "Nung Nai Sueng " .... it is one of my favorites ...
--- she's also w/ Ken in "Rak Nee Hua Jai Rao Jong" .... I did not like at all :(....
I almost dropped , but returned for the sake of Ken ... and he finally is able to show his talent in the last 5 eps....
the main reason I did NOT Like this lakorn --->>> Incredibly Bad Writing !!! ... .... b/c
---->>> 1) it made the characters very Stupid (started out smart tho) and ...2) their actions Stupid and ...3) lots of things in the plot were not consistent ... .... Just plain Stupid !!!
and it was too long for the sometimes slow pacing ...
I prefer --->> 1) intelligent characters ..... 2) well developed characters that their personality and actions are consistent w/ each other ..... 3) a plot that makes sense , rather than have strange twists in order to comply w/ the results that the writer needs.
What I liked : As always , I enjoyed watching Weir.... and I enjoyed Mai , despite the less than wonderful acting .... I liked the premise of the story ..... I liked many of the characters .... ...... idk , something compelled me to keep watching despite all the annoyances.
Very Very Very interesting drama .... ... not just b/c it provides lots of food-for-thought about society and history etc... But also .... b/c the elements of History , Mystery , Politics and Romance are all intricately woven together so very well !!!...
For those who watched this and are wondering... Yes, the Korean alphabet (Hangul) is as easy to learn as they…
After watching this show ... I taught myself the Hangul alphabet .... It was Easy !!! ... I can easily read it ... but writing is a bit more challenging , especially if I try writing what I hear only ...
I would love to learn Japanese or Chinese ... but it seems like a daunting task , especially Chinese ... the Japanese sounds seem simpler for a tone-deaf person like myself .....
Arabic alphabet is not too difficult , even w/ the 3 forms of each , b/c same rule applies to all.... although the grammar can be daunting ... but structure is still close enough to Latin or Germanic languages , that it is still easier for a westerner than East Asian languages .....
especially Chinese , which I find very confusing , not only due to structure , but also the noun/verb/adjective confusion ... Japanese is a bit more specific , so not as confusing.
The story is very similar in both , and it is obviously very appealing.

for an idol , he's not a bad actor !

I love him as a bad-boy ... he got an edge to him .... can't wait to see more of him
