you explained your thoughts really well lmao i agree w everything you said
Thank you so much!! tbh it was like 3am and I couldn't stop thinking about them so I had to write something out even though I don't comment on here all that much haha.
I completely agree!! I love how complex the characters are and I think the new additions just add to this through…
Same here! I love how interesting and distinctive the characters are in their own right. I like how their stories are weaved into the main storyline too...like how Yoo Ha's disappearance parallels what Ji Woo did to Seo Joon, which explains why he Seo Joon is so panicked and desperate to find her.
My heart is broken for the two of them too. It's obvious with Seo Joon bc he's so expressive and sincere in everything he feels, but you can see Ji Woo is very much broken up about it too...he just deals with it much differently than Seo Joon since he's so much more guarded in his feelings. He's trying so hard to resist Seo Joon, but as we saw in the latest ep, it's virtually impossible bc he still so in love with him...and Seo Joon has always had the ability to sneak through all the walls Ji Woo puts up. The next eps can't come soon enough!!
Maybe it's because I love angst (with a happy ending...which I'm still positive we'll get!), but I'm really enjoying this season. As much as I would have loved to have seen them all happy and in love from the get go, I can also understand how there needs to be more conflict in their relationship to fill up the 12 eps...and even though they ended up together in the first season, there was a lot that never got addressed in terms of their extremely different personalities and potential past traumas that could affect their relationship in the long run.
Do I approve of how Ji Woo ghosted Seo Joon like that? Absolutely not. But I'm going to hang on till I watch the end before I write him off. I can completely understand how inferiorities/insecurities can continue to build up over time, and I've always gotten the feeling that Ji Woo has never really felt like he deserved Seo Joon (not to mention, how the both of them seem to have abandonment issues). Ji Woo has such a hard time expressing himself too, which makes things a lot more complicated...running away is prob much easier for him than actually addressing and communicating his feelings to Seo Joon (which is likely why he ghosted him too...he knew Seo Joon would have been able to convince him to stay if he didn't). It does make me wonder if there was some sort of specific trigger that made Ji Woo up and leave the way that he did though, so I really hope we get more clarity on that situation in future eps.
I also personally really like the new characters! I think Hwang Da Seul has such a way of crafting characters and relationship dynamics I really care about.
Either way, waiting for eps each week is tough, but at least it gives me some time to digest (and cry) my way through the eps we're getting. I just have so much love for this show.
Do I need to have watched SIMM in order to watch this? Like I know that they're separate stories (though connected), but when I first saw the trailer, this was the one that appealed to me the most. Not to mention, I've always liked Mek so that has me more interested in this one too.
I might still watch SIMM in the future, but I just wanted to know if it'll be too confusing if I watch this one first, or if it's better for me to watch SIMM before starting this one.
I saw the title and clicked on this thinking "my boy Ohm better be on here!!" only to be pleasantly surprised…
I'm just coming back here again to rave about how incredible both Ohm and Nanon are in Bad Buddy. It's like this article predicted it before it even happened š their acting and chemistry is truly a sight to behold. The both of them have improved so much and they're STILL so young. Amazing.
You know, I have a countdown installed on the menubar of my MacBook. So I can see at one glance how long I have…
omg I would do that but then I'd be staring at it all the time šand then it would feel even longer to me haha. Time is just going way too slowly atm!!
I swear every single week gets longer and longer on purpose with every new ep š this drama is the only light at the end of the tunnel for me. Why is it not Friday yetā¦
Why he kept his guitar until now, why he just din't gave him before, I understand they were enemies but when their…
I have a feeling it was bc he was gauging Pranās reaction. For all Pat knew, Pran could have gotten himself a new guitar since high school. He didnāt want to tell Pran outright that he had his guitar bc he tends to joke around when things get too serious, and perhaps he didnāt know how to bring up that heād kept it all this time when they were still in the music shop (thatās also why he told Pran that he tried to sell it but no one wanted it when I think itās pretty safe to assume that he kept it as a mementoā¦and likely bc he was holding out hope that he would one day be able to meet Pran again and give it back to him). He just felt in that moment when Pran was thanking him and actually taking the initiative to hang out with him that it was the perfect time to finally give it back. Especially since heād already cleared with the professor that they could get back on board with the music contest by then.
I love this show so much it PAINS me. I canāt stop thinking about it as though Iām some lovesick teenager š the wait between eps is torture omg.
Happy one year anniversary to this masterpiece of a drama!! I always feel myself coming back here bc no drama has ever made me feel the way that this one does. To think that this time last year I had no idea what I was in for, and how I would be forever changed. So incredibly proud of ITSAY and the awards and praise that it has been receiving. Itās very much deserved ā¤ļø
Iām so incredibly excited for this drama!! Been looking forward to it since the first teaser, and now itās almost here!!!!! Iāve been watching the official trailer on repeat (and the more I watch it, the more I love it). Canāt wait to see Ohm and Nanon in this!! Itās been awhile since Iāve had a BL that I was really looking forward toā¦and with this cast and PāAof at the helm, I couldn't ask for more š
I thought the first half of this was good and watchable, but it was the last half that really drew me in and got me invested. I started to get more involved during ep 4, and I thought the way they built towards the climax in the last ep was done really well. This was not what I was expecting (it was much heavier than I thought it was going to be), but it left a deep impression on me. It made me furious, frustrated and heartbroken all at once. I thought it was realistic too based on how systemic and cyclical issues like bullying and assault are in institutions like this. Really liked this, but def gonna have to take a break and watch something a lot lighter now to cheer me up.
The first time I remember seeing him was when he was the reporter in Beyond Evil and little did I know that a couple months later Iād be in love with him thanks to Light On Me. I hope to see him in more main roles in the future. Def a fan now!!
Does anyone on here also watch K-dramas? I love K-dramas, can't get enough of them. Was wondering if anyone could…
There have been quite a few lately! My personal faves are: Where Your Eyes Linger and To My Star.
But thereās also: Mr. Heart, Wish You, Color Rush, You Make Me Dance, Nobleman Ryuās Wedding, Long Time No See and Light On Me (which is currently airing atm).
OMG I hope this ends up working out bc I LOVE both Lee Do Hyun and Kwak Dong Yeon!! I also really love Midnight Runners too, so it's a dream combo tbh.
I think the rating is fine, the show is full of filler scenes that it could've done without. For e.g the whole…
I think this may be where personal taste comes into play bc I actually really like the voiceover during Duean/Meen scenes (and the humour in general), although I can understand why it's not everyone's cup of tea. I do agree that there hasn't been a whole lot of story progression, but since I like the characters, none of that has really bothered me too much so far?
Overall, I don't think 7.4 is a bad rating (like I know I've rated a lot of dramas that I've loved 7 bc of other issues I've had with them as a whole), but I think that it's also just bc I'm comparing the rating to other dramas that have higher ratings that I feel are more on the same level (or below) too. I just think the rating system fluctuates a lot and isn't the most consistent (which is also why I don't put a lot of stock in it anyway). Either way, I know that it's all subjective so it's not that deep, and as long as I'm personally enjoying what I'm watching, that's enough.
