I think people are more commenting on the fact that it started out free (with the 1 episode delay for non-VIP members). If it was always VIP exclusive, I doubt there would be as much out cry.

Up till that moment the show was doing really well for representation as well, with both an ace and gay character - which is relatively rare to see in K dramas as well. I'm so tired of being baited and such that I think I may continue to believe that the line was just lost in translation.

I think I had accidently misinterpreted some of the subtilties in that scene - I can't remember the exact line - something like "and that was before I met you *insert name*". I figured I may have misunderstood that line.

Oh, yea, I figured she wasn't aro. I can't remember the exact quote, but one of her lines made it seem like she was not ace anymore. I'm actually glad I misread/misinterpreted the line.
