Well, there are two possible explanations:1st: Gram and Black are a couple in the novel, so everyone was kind…
yeah, definitely. it doesn't make sense when you look at the character's development. it feels like it was a last minute change and kind of ruined the character
I'm confused. Why are people frustrated with Gram? What'd he do? Is it because we now know that he's always had…
Well, there are two possible explanations:
1st: Gram and Black are a couple in the novel, so everyone was kind of expecting this to become a thing in the series as well.
or
2nd: Gram was introduced as Black's best friend, the one who he trusted the most and, as we saw, a very nice guy. However, he turned out to be a dog. Black clearly broke up with Gene so she wouldn't be in any danger, but Gram came on to her IN THE SAME DAY that Black and her broke up. He saw that Black was in pain, but he still came on to her.
I think the production team made the decision to focus only on SeanWhite's plot, so Black (as a character in the series) is mainly there to work as a plot device for White and Sean to meet and fall in love. It's understandable (firstly because OffGun are the main couple and secondly because it would be a bit unrealistic if almost every member of the gang was gay), but it's also sad because Gram and Black are the most interesting characters in the novel (and also because of the way Gram was introduced in the series and for Gun's done an amazing job portraying Black - you can feel everything the character is feeling just by looking at his eyes). So I guess we can't have it all. Yet, this is still a masterpiece.
Anda was upset about his manga not being very good, so he ran out to Ryou's place. Ryou was reading Anda's manga and realized that Anda was actually writing songs with his dialogues then Ryou took Anda to meet Lala, Anda's idol, and showed Anda's song to her in order to make Anda feel better. And the rest was just... 🔥
Thank goodness they've changed A LOT from the original source material. I was very worried that they would keep that "almost r*pe* scene from the novel.
And it's also good that they made Anda a songwriter here. It fits him better than being an actor.
In the novel and in the anime, a paparazzi takes photos of Izumi/Anda and Ryouma/Ryou together and leak it to the press. And that's what makes Izumi/Anda reveal to everyone that the he was the bride from the commercial.
In my book, this show is ten times better than BB, even if the MC are kind of meh.
In mine, too. But let's keep this between us. 😝
But I was talking about all the improvements compared to other BL series that were released in the last couple of years and that are full of tropes and stereotypes. Although Bad Buddy is still a coming of age romance and falls to the same college/enemies-to-lovers storylines, the series was a big leap for BL series.
This show has always set itself apart and avoided some tropes associated with BL. I would have been fine with…
But the trailer for episode 10 showed that they will do as they've done through the entire series: they'll talk things out. So hopefully we won't be stucked on that old "misunderstanding" BL trope.
You know, I KNEW angst was going to find Fah and Thorn, but I was hopeful it wouldn't, at the same time. Not everything…
By the trailer from ep 10 you can already tell that Fah and Thorn will talk things out and everything will be ok. That has been one of the strongest things about this series - the characters actually talk about their feelings and talk things out.
As far as Dome and Vee's plot, I completely understand your point, but there are some things you should take into consideration here:
1st: you may try, but you cannot choose with whom you'll fall in love.
2nd: Dome might had always been gay, but he hasn't realized it until he met Vee.
3rd: you agree that there's a lot of conflict happening, so you know that it's something that it's out of their control
And, last but not least, 4th: falling in love with your sister's boyfriend is more common in real life than you think lol
He know how to sing, it's unusuall in bls, the last song was different too, did he compose it?
How can you say that? If there's one thing in Thai BL series that we can't complain is the OSTs. Bad Buddy, I Told Sunset About You, 2gether and even some questionable BL series like Tharntype had great songs in it.
I'm so happy I lived to see the time when Thai would start making BL series where people actually fix their problems by talking to each other and where the characters deal with grown up problems and real life issues and not just the same old tropes and stereotypes that we are used to.
I hope we get to see even more BL series in the likes of Bad Buddy, You're My Sky and, especially, like Not Me. Such groundbreaking series.
PS. This episode actually made me cry with that scene when Fluke gives that heart speech. As a queer person myself, that words hit me differently.
Maybe I missed a scene or something but Lian and Yi are brothers right? So Yi also helped out in Lian's business…
I don't think so. At least it wasn't addressed in the series so far. I think they're only friends. There isn't another child in the flashbacks besides Kuea and Lian.

Last week's song was a cover of Change, originally recorded by a group called ETC. This week's song was the series original OST (ไอ้คนน่ารัก) with lyrics by GopPostcard and Achariya Dulyapaiboon
Even though this is New's first work, it feels like he's way more experienced than Zee. New's acting is so natural and it's amazing how easily he can switch from one personality to the other. He's basically the only reason I keep watching this series, because Zee's character is a pain in the 4ss and the side couple is boring af - I never liked Max and Nat and now I like Nat even less after his "joke".

Pick your fighter.
