I suggest to you to wait till the whole book is translayed by Suika. Her translations are amazing. The book is very well written and very poetic, and Suika manages to keep the poetry of the book in her translation. The MTL is lacking, and you will notice this. Suika translated the novel till chapter 152. For the moment she took a pause, but she will resume soon the translation :)

I hope you all realize the drama will be completely different from the book, so don't get your hopes too high. It is impossible to make a faithful adaptation that will retain all the charm off the novel in China, with all the censorship and stuff. Though I am curious how a 100% accurate adaptation would look like.

What is happening to the Douban score of 2HA ? Last time i checked it was 6.8! so low..I didn't expect it at all. Do Chinese readers really dislike the book? Maybe the book it's more popular with international audiences.

I advise you to reread the novel after Suika finishes translating it. I prefer to wait till the book is completely translated by Suika, then start reading it. I am studying Chinese, so I tried to translate the book for myself. My God, it is so difficult to translate it if you are not a native Chinese because the vocabulary is so advanced. The writer plays with words to create beautiful literary images that are extremely difficult to translate to English. Meatbun is truly an amazing writer. All my thank to Suika and Rin, because I know how difficult it was for them to translate the book.
