I gave up watching this weeks ago, just wasn't for me, but are you telling me this rom com didn't even have a single kiss? Has that happened before in a romcom/romance? lmao
Everyone involved in this are adults. Hope that helps. You're actively making the world worse by watering down the definition of what a pedofile is. Please learn to use a dictionary.
I know im going to get slammed for this but i am so over the ML wearing chains and t -shirts with holes constantly…
That's one of my favourite parts haha, I love his flamboyant outfits. They should've made this a drama about a washed up gay uncle, he dresses the part.
Honestly I'm getting tried of with the way male lead characters written in kdrama romcoms these days. . They behaves…
Do you also hate it when they do the opposite and have the FL completely hung up on the ML? Because that seems to be the case with a lot of romance kdramas.
Also I've seen 6 eps of this so far and don't get the impression that ML thinks the FL is the center of his life. They've spent most their scenes arguing...?
I really don't think this needs to be 16 episodes, I thought it was picking up after a shaky start, but the last 2 episodes really dragged for me, there just doesn't seem like enough story/emotional beat to pad out the episode runtimes.
Not a fan of the cartoony sound effects/backing music (I can't be the only one who finds it cringey). The FL is so stoic and expressionless, but that only seems to change when she's with the ML. The side characters are generally just not that interesting, or over the top. I like how animated the leads are when they have scenes together, but I don't see much spark, especially from her.
I feel like romcoms work much better if they follow a format of less episodes and shorter runtimes. Maybe it picks up more after the half way mark, but my attention keeps wandering.
'Despite the weird rating'. Other people's rating influences your enjoyment of the show? I'm confused. I don't…
I think also this site and k-drama fans in general are heavily swayed by romance dramas where the two leads are twenty-somethings or thirty-somethings. So anything outside of the 'norm' will bring more scrutiny/be given less of a chance. It's frustrating for me too because thriller is my fav genre and there isn't many of them.
'Despite the weird rating'. Other people's rating influences your enjoyment of the show? I'm confused. I don't…
That's a strange system. Thanks for explaining. It seems like a lot of shows will be overlooked due to it. I used to focus a lot of people's reviews/ratings, but it's literally just personal taste. I've found some good movies/shows by ignoring a shaky rating before.
'Despite the weird rating'. Other people's rating influences your enjoyment of the show? I'm confused.
I don't understand how this is considered a weird rating. Less than 500 people have rated it so far and it's at 7.5. That's good, no?
Are people really saying 7.5/10 is a bad rating now? To me, a 'bad' rating is 4/10 or less. People are placing way too much importance on this rating system.
I’m gonna start to not trust the ratings on this site cause what the actual f is this 7.5. It’s not a bad…
Never trust the ratings on this site. I don't agree with a lot of ratings on some of the most popular shows here.
Someone might watch 10 minutes of an 1 episode and rate it a 1 star. That's not a legit rating. It's the same with all the others like IMDB and RottenTomatoes. It gets to a point where you just think 'why do I care what strangers on the internet think of a show/movie? I can judge for myself.'
It got released in 2021 alongside Squid Game, Penthouse, It's Okay Not To Be Okay and some other popular kdramas,…
I forget it was the same year as Squid Game. Makes sense. Don't think there's going to be a kdrama that gains as much attention as that one, at least not for a long, long time. Not sure the ending helped, though. Beyond Evil, for me, was solid from start to finish.
Sul Kyung Gu is one of my favourites, but I haven't been able to bring myself to finish this one. Just something in the writing, like it was missing something. But the leads are both excellent. Shame.
Not convinced there will be another k-drama anytime soon that matches this one. The amazing chemistry between the leads, the tone, the plot twists, how well written every character was and how it all connected. Still think about this drama often. When I first watched this in 2021, I went and watched just about everything Shin Ha Kyun has starred in. Solidified him as one of my favs.
It's so frustrating that SK is so heavily invested in romcoms and romance dramas because when they do thriller/mystery well, it really hits. I genuinely think this drama would've been a big hit across the pond, considering how much Western audiences love detective dramas.
Really feels like this one just flew under the radar.
imagine dedicating this much time to writing a comment about a drama you clearly don't want to watch...
Huh, I'm sure renowned actor Lee Jung Jae will take on your feedback... Bizarre comment. He's been in the acting business for decades.
He's entertaining in this. If both leads were quiet and withdrawn, the drama wouldn't be worth the watch. That being said, the lead actress isn't really bringing much to the table so far.
But yet here you are still watching a drama with him in it? An 'assault' which is not true and was debunked, by the way. Nice virtue signaling.
Also your comment comes across homophobic, ngl. Who cares how the character is dressed..
