ummm.... why did they destroy this drama in the second half? first half was fun and cute, the main couple was kinda ditzy but adorable and then did they change writers for the second half? The last 2 episodes ruined the show. What a waste of potential!!!
Also the editing of scenes throughout the drama was so weird, sometimes it really disrupted the flow of the story. So editors further messed the show up.

I did think her redemption "arc" (if you can call it that even) was done so poorly and quickly it gave me whiplash.…
Yeah, I really liked the bff as a friend but as gf in the second cp she was horrible. She really didn't deserve that guy, treated him like dirt and was barely apologetic.
Am I the only one who thought the side character Luo Xiao Yi was a total selfish, entitled, spoiled piece of work…
I did think her redemption "arc" (if you can call it that even) was done so poorly and quickly it gave me whiplash. At the start of an episode she's asking the FL to leave the team and then at the end she's shown to have rejected the competing team's coach.
This was such an adorable and cute drama (albeit a bit long for the storyline). The leads were fantastic and despite the tropes that came with normal sports drama they actually managed to make it unique with their chemistry. It's one of those rare dramas where the leads had such a healthy relationship once they get together. They actually TALK, not just about their relationship issues but other issues that are affecting them and mutually encourage/help each other.
That being said, I really disliked the bff of the FL as a side couple. As a bff she was great, as a gf she was a selfish brat who totally didn't deserve the sweetheart she ended up with. I skipped every single scene because the writers wrote her so entitled as a second cp. The other flaw was in the middle there are just toooo many filler scenes that were so unnecessary, but that's a given with c-dramas so just have the FF button ready.
Definitely worth the watch and the main cp = #relationshipgoals
Thank you, that mean I don't have to bother posting this. The FL fell flat, I was about to check to see if I watched…
Yeah, unfortunately she didn't do it for me. More of a 6.5 from me because the second half really killed the show (but I am a little harsher in my ratings sometimes).
I found this a little boring, first few eps are interesting, the way the cases were written and solved were really interesting, but then the palace drama really takes over the detective stuff and it gets really boring. I can handle some palace drama but there was just too much of it in this series. I just stopped caring and the last 10 eps were really dragging so I ended up skipping from ep 26 and went straight to the end.
I think the ML and supporting cast were all great, but the FL didn't bring Chuchu to life for me. She seemed so dead all throughout the show, even her crying scenes were emotionless. It's a pity because on paper she was written really well.
I lowkey agree too, but I guess his character would have really become super wretched.
Yeah he did, esp considering how good he was and then he was just manipulated by the girl he loved towards the end, which the ML even called her out on.
It's ok - it's got wayyyyy too many plot lines going on at the same time so not even the main story is really focused on, which means the leads barely have time to build any chemistry. It gets really messy in the second half, dragged down by all the usual c-drama tropes and the only way to finish it was to FF.
Not sure why the writer had a separate storyline for almost every character introduced, maybe to fill up the eps? Would have been better with less character and more focus on the main leads cause they were really fun together. Also the FL and her bff had such a nice platonic relationship!
Meh, but can be watched because the main leads are still unique (a shame cause every thing else was not).
Wow, nothing about this makes sense. The acting, the script, the editing. It's all over the place and so illogical. I was hoping to really like this given such high praise in the comments but I can't even go beyond ep 5.
I stopped mid-season hoping to come back and binge it, but here I am feeling reluctant to do so. The main attraction…
Agreed - the clinical aspect behind the drama, esp the therapy they showed towards the end made me think....this isn't how anything works. But at least, AT LEAST the drama took sexual harassment and assault seriously. Considering how c-dramas love to use it (esp r*pe of a secondary character) as a plot device with zero thought, I appreciated the fact that they showed real PTSD this can have on people.
I kinda felt cheated with how limited the kiss scenes were in this drama after the FL gets over her trauma. It was just pecks on the cheek despite the fact that C-dramas are known to have great kiss scenes and both the main leads have done so in previous dramas.... Did they hate each other in real life or did the writer hate writing kiss scenes???
Ok this isn't as bad as the reviews/comments are making it out to be. Yes it should have been shorter because even the director/editors seemed to have lost interest by ep 34. However! that being said, I really enjoyed the chemistry between the main leads. HYT really knows how to do a puppy-dog-completely-simping over the FL look. The shooting aspect was fun too, but wish there weren't quite sooo many competition scene (but it is a sport romance drama after all). The friendships between the team mates were cute.
Side couple was cute at first then got toxic really fast, but the friendship between second ML and main FL was really cute, and I liked how they developed that. You don't see that often in dramas.
This is obviously not the best drama out there, but it's worth watching for the romance that despite being developed early actually sustains throughout the series. Definitely could have done with only 30 eps though. Just don't try to binge it in one weekend, pace it out and it's ok.
