I didn't love it but I didn't hate it, it was watchable but throughout the whole drama I just kept feeling "this could be so so much better". It has all the right ingredients but perhaps the director was just lost. The first half of the drama dragggs and then when the leads do finally get together it focuses way too much on the business side. There was no tension, no urgency, and line deliveries were so detached.
- Script was fine, actors were fine but there was zero tension between anyone. Everything was so blase, even when things went wrong at work in the first half there was zero sense of urgency. - The main leads have chemistry but the director didn't use it to their advantage so we are just felt not understanding why the ML falls for the FL. -She's supposed to be the "devil boss"- but is actually super nice and understanding from the get go? They don't ever show her to be overbearing or scary as a boss in anyway (she just tells him to do his job). -I can't at all understand why the FL's character launches a dating app when she isn't even interested in dating. And it's not like the market isn't already flooded with a million? - The epilogues were so pointless to me, I skipped every single one. Could have used that time to focus on the romcom aspect. -They had such a great introductory concept with the idea of him teaching her how to love, but it was not used at all in the way it normally is. Making the whole thing pointless.
It's just a blah drama. Watch in-between nothing else but it will bore you a lot. Which is a pity cause the ML is great in this.
This was so cute. For some reason I could never finish the korean version, I always felt like the FL overacted wayy too much in that one. But this was just right and cute. I think the way the japanese dramas are shot really fit in with the sometimes OTT-ness of this series.
They need to hire a team of well paid subbers. All their dramas suffer from google translate subs, unless vikii or some other platform picks it up and subs it.
Hmm, I dropped this at ep 10. Really nothing much happens and part of the problem is I think the leads get together very early on. There's no real tension, and the chemistry is lukewarm between the two. There's also no sense of urgency at any point so you are a bit meh about what's happening to the characters because they are meh about it too.
I will say I loved the line where the FL said something like "Do you think I'm the kind of girl who would put a man before money!" - lol real talk!
It will get better, then it will get kind of worse, then it will get better again towards the end. :) Haha. Sorry,…
Omg that was so much more detailed then what I expected! Thank you so much for the reply <3!
Also now I'm glad I dropped it, I don't think I would have been impressed with the rest of the drama as much as I was in the first half if that's what happens. Esp after everything they put the cousin through she just gets some second thought half baked redemption arc. Ugh writers, do a better job!
Seriously though, I appreciate the reply ! Thank you!
This was so much better than I expected. I actually enjoyed this quite a bit, even though the last few eps were a bit dragged and the last ep rushed as per the usual dramaland standards. It's still such a cute and funny drama.
First of, I love the two siblings, they are so adorable together. And for the first time I wished I had a big brother as adorable as that. Secondly the main couple were so cute together. Honestly the ML played his role of a completely innocent man so well, I would roll laughing when he would ask some questions and get even more confused! The only complaint is, the kisses were a bit wooden. I think either the leads aren't comfortable kissing or have no idea how to act it out. BUT apart from that their chemistry was good and its very fluffy.
A very soft and kind male lead with a cute and smart female lead. So worth the watch and really a hidden gem that should be talked about more!
At ep 37 and I'm going to have to put this on hold. I initially liked where this drama was going even though the secondary couple were the most boring people in the world and really deserve each other. I think after a few episodes I skipped all their scenes because it was always a repeat of the same old dialogues. I don't know why writers think that repeating the same scenes 1000 times will be entertaining to viewers.
Even that I could put up with cause the main leads are really good, but I really don't like where the story is going with the cousin sister. What happened to her was really unforgivable and it's so obvious what the writers will do with this plot it's disgusting. If anyone wants to spoil it for me please do. I can't stand to watch this kind of stuff all for some stupid plot point. I will say though the actor for the villain was really great. He gave me chills in how truly evil he was.
This is why I keep believing C-dramas need to learn to be shorter - honestly the writer had a good thing going but then they just copy/paste scenes because of the massive number of episodes they need to write for. And then they just go down the terrible tropes of write-a-script-by-numbers.
I'm going to pretend this finished at ep 13 and stop watching here because that's how little I care about the revenge plot. Like a lot of other people have mentioned -it didn't need it and it was pointless to the story.
The case by case stories were interesting and even though the handling of it was a bit meh, overall it kept my interest. The love story was cute but draggggedddd and then suddenly they couldn't stop kissing during the oddest moments (like the editing seemed off). But I really liked the FL she was strong, rational and wasn't falling all over the place like in most c-dramas. So that made the drama watchable and a good way to pass time.
This was cute and actually funnier than I thought it would be. Recommend watching if you are looking for a good rom-com.
Also just so in love with the FL in this, she's straight up no nonsense - total #goals for any female in the workplace (even though she has to still put up with her crappy boss)
first time watching china's drama..i realized that almost older woman in this drama are really annoying especially…
I agree! I couldn't understand why they were wasting so much time with "stop the bus". Like you have been through this loop infinite times, you know shouting at him isn't going to make him stop. They needed direction that was a little more action oriented I feel. There were times I really questioned why the characters were so slow in action- even though it was only 15 eps I still felt a lot of it dragged.
Pretty good, the senior actors were all amazing, esp Mengmeng's mom and Captain Zhang. The main FL was really frustrating at times, esp in the first few episodes. I feel like the actress still needs to learn to convey more emotions, more so when the script requires her to be afraid to speak. Instead of sympathy I was just getting annoyed with her, regardless of the fact that I understood her motives for being like that. The ML was great, want to see him in more things!
Overall a good plot of a groundhog day and definitely different from a lot of Cdramas out there. Worth the watch!
If you want to watch this, watch out for delusional sFL and in the first half sML :D they were mood killers but…
I felt bad for the SFL actress though. She must have been reading her lines going, I swear I have said this entire paragraph like 3 times already in the last 2 episodes. The writers gave her NOTHING to work with. I almost had her speech memorized half way through the drama.
This is just sugar and fluff and rainbows. It's totally what I wanted and perfect if you are looking for fluffly romcom with not much substance. But the acting is decent, the script is funny if full of cliches and the chemistry is good. Kind of didn't really need the last 4 episodes though.
I kind of wish the FL did more things on her own rather than have things basically handed to her by the ML and SML, it just felt like she had zero real achievements in life. The writer kinda redeems her in the end but for the most of the drama you end up rolling your eyes with how much is "fixed" for her by men. Also in the beginning the interactions between the main leads feel very forced and it does take time for them to get into the groove of acting so the viewer doesn't feel awkward watching them, but be patient, it get better! Love how in the end he could never keep his hands off her.
I swear the FL falls more in one ep than I have in my whole life, watching these dramas sometimes makes me wonder if continuously falling in the arms of a cute guy is the way to his heart.
The only thing I didn't understand was why the main leads were so trusting of everyone despite constantly being proven wrong. Everyone who went through the reset turned out to be morally corrupt (except them and unsurprisingly the ex-convict). Even early on I was like, ok something isn't right about the young girl, and the old man/professor really seems off. I would have started doing research on the people in the group wayyy early on if I were in there shoes. Not only cause everyone seems suspicious but also - to try find more links between the member. This was the biggest flaw in the drama, but I guess a necessary one to keep the plot moving.
About 3/4 through you begin to suspect that he was wrong to go back to save his partner and then when its proven true, as a viewer you really feel the ML's pain. After all that to find out he is the evil one. It was like a knife through the heart.
