Title Library Wars Spoiler
Very well shot movie! Really enjoyed this one and love the lines:
"why... did the world turn out this way?
People became apathetic. most people thought "it doesn't affect me"
They didn't understand that it really meant restrictions on their life. "

It took me some time to collect my thoughts on this drama. At times it feels like it's been directed/written by two different people. The romance was breath taking, with chemistry that explodes on screen when the main characters have barely touched. The acting was convincing and you could feel the struggle the main lead goes through. It is one of the few older woman/young man dramas where the male lead isn't all manly, yet is naive and vulnerable.
That set against an almost painful to watch background of office politics and corruption really makes one feel robbed of what could have been. The business aspect of this drama was confusing, badly executed and extremely exaggerated. You can't help but wish they had focused more on the couple rather than waste time on dramatic business deals that didn't make sense.
In terms of music I have to say though that the piano pieces didn't move me at all. I was enthralled when I watched Nodame and expected the same here, but found myself skipping the piano scenes. I don't know what it was but it didn't touch me like Nodame did.

Love the article! Tiny Cities cracks me up. I'm always surprised when people are running into each other especially…
LOL the super sonic hearing always gets to me. It also confuses me because in some dramas the can hear everything from a mile away and then in others, with the same (or less) distance they can't hear a thing. So I'm always like...wait so did s/he hear that or not?

There are no air bags in Korean cars, so even the smallest accident will result in head injury and hospital visit.…
Hahahaha I totally agree with your list! Esp the last one, there is always one boring norebang scene where there will be sad/happy/crying songs being belted out prompting me to use the skip button!

Ah, like everyone else I am extremely torn about this remake. I love love love Nodame, it is my favourite Jdrama and one that is so unique. Although I suppose I can see Joo Won playing Chiaki, they are going to have to be extremely careful of who acts as the heart and soul of this drama. And...again like everyone else, I am not sure of how well the Koreans can remake this without going down makjang lane and losing everything that made Nodame distinctive and unique.

Title School 2013 Spoiler
Am I the only one who was utterly disappointed by the ending? From the beginning the most problematic student,…
When I first finished this drama I felt the exact same way. From the get go it seemed to me that Jung Ho was the center of this drama. His troubled personality, his fear of the real world yet his stubbornness to admit his mistakes, he had the most interesting character...and what did the writers do? Just rush his ending in a very contrived manner.

But the more the story sits with me, the more I can sort of appreciate the sense of 'realism' it added to the drama. The one character everyone wants saved can't be because the world is generally not fair and equal. I find myself thinking of his character more than the rest and I suppose that in itself is statement to how fitting the ending was for him. I still feel the excuse made for him was too abrupt (as were quite a few things in the drama) but overall his ending fits somehow? My heart will always ache for Jung Ho.

Choi Jin Cheol and john mayer with comical face really annoying but i always kind a rooting shunji kimura character…
imo they shouldn't have given that villain girl any lines, because once she spoke her entire aura broke and she was a bit flat after that for me.

Gonna disagree with most people here on John Mayer. I actually found him really intriguing. The things he did, the way he created and affected world events (I really love how in terms of politics K2H was so well written), was really brilliant (and quite realistic). They hinted at early neglect and abuse in his life, and being brought up by a (possibly) deranged father his character, whilst not novel, was pretty well acted. He made himself comical in certain situations and completely psychotic in others, which made him that much more scarier to me.

So good to know I wasn't the only one feeling this!

I still just can't wrap my head around the reason she left and that this was okay? Also can't wrap my head around…
Agreed on both counts. I couldn't understand why she left (again) and then the ending was destroyed for me because she hid the child. It's such an awful thing to do I couldn't get over it so ep 16 was just me being extremely annoyed at how normal they portrayed the situation to be. -_-

Hmm...this drama is...a little random. It tried to do too many things at once, and succeeded in some parts and completely failed in others, thus the mixed feelings it leaves you with. On the good side the comedy and romance were all good, on the other hand however I do think they made a few casting mistakes...and there were tooo many unnecessary scenes with lines that made you cringe and skip parts. It had a pretty cool explanation for everything that happened though. Overall, a fun drama to watch in between dramas but I wouldn't rewatch this.

am i the only one who thinks when did they make a baby???? -_-
I agree, because of the hidden son I couldn't enjoy the ending at all. That's not romantic at all man! He has a right to know about his child, and he just accepts it like oh ok I have a kid now. It was really weird.

Title The Pursuit of Happiness Spoiler
Though I can't say I like it as well as I liked "In Time With You", I can say that I really enjoyed…
Me too! I had to stop for a bit at ep 12? that "dream" confession. I don't know why they didn't clearly show the confession wasn't real, I spent the rest of the episode wondering wth was going on.

More of an in-between drama, though I can see the similarities between how In Time With You was shot/produced, it really fell short of reaching the same level. The actors took a really long time to get into characters, so the first few episodes are a little stiff. But overall not bad, it does drag a bit but thankfully not as much as is the norm for Tdramas.

i really love Turkish dramas, i have watched many on youtube, sometimes i wish koreans would remake some Turkish…
"I know I'm judging it without knowing but the idea of romanticising rape disgusts me" - I will never understand why any writer would do this....why...just why???

Interesting article. I didn't know Turkey was also part of the K-pop craze. But....the American remake of BOF?....has anyone watched the steaming pile of hot mess that is? It is so bad you have to watch at least one episode of it.
